"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Why did i sold my stake with only $10 profit Cheesy i should have made $700 profit Cheesy

There are going to be some pull backs in price, buy the dips and make some money.  ETC is in this for the long haul. A year from now we will look back at these prices and say "Why didn't I buy a LOT more?".

Did anyone try to communicate with the attacker? I think it is a wise thing to do if you want stability and security for the original chain. He has a degree of power on the platform and it would be ideal if he comes out and communicates to the ETC supporters what are his motives and his plans.

After every ethf fork more will join us! Every time a developer realizes they need immutable smart contracts, they will join us!

and what will happen when ETC needs to be forked?

I suppose ETC will hard forked only for bug in the "core ethereum protocol". Never hard forked for reverse or invalidate smart contracts. IMO
