Introduce self....always the one question that stumps most people...that or "so tell me about you", it's always so hard to know where to begin.

I'm Keiran...I'm an Irish-Aussie...I brew my own beer as well as bitcoins....I usually just lurk around here but I thought hey, why not?

/Please do not feed the noob, or you'll never get rid of him/

If a moderator sees this please delete this account. I'm still getting insults and trolling via a work email resulting from a poorly edited job posting thread I made months ago. It's not funny anymore Tongue

Hello everyone, I am from INDIA.  To rescue my family out of neck deep debts I have resorted to gambling by buying lottery tickets on www.playhugelottos.com, thinking and knowing that this is the only windfall that can lift me up miraculously.  In search of predicting what could be next winning numbers, i have been led by fate to this platform and since i am a strong believer of butterfly effect, i  would say i have not come here by chance but by divine guidance which at last heard my prayers and led me here to know solution to my problems.  People, please listen to this plead of mine and try to help me out any which way, be it helping me in buying winning lottery tickets which i found you guys here are masters of, or be it any other way, but just help me in getting out of this mire called debts, its the most torturous thing in the world and its been 4 long year since i am immersed in this shit, please help me out guys.  And also, let me tell you, i work for one of the largest banks in india, if you have any ideas by which we can help out mutually, i am ready, but at any cost, help me out.......in tears, your indian friend......this is not any trick, please please understand.

Hi guys (and gals), name's dr01d.

Am a Linux sysadmin for some 10 years.
Been following Bitcoin since 2010, including this forum but only now decided to register.
Mined my first coins using a low-end GPU way back then and lost it all due to laptop disk crash, would've been 40$ richer now Smiley

Anywayz, greetings you y'all

yes, I've said it!

Kinda hated to make another post, since I rather enjoyed the label "Brand new". Smiley

Registered when I decided to buy a BFL Single so I could officially join the waiting throng.

Seems a good bet to me that I'll hit five posts and four hours before the BFL is delivered.  Wink

Hi all.

I'm KIDC. I'm primarily interested in the mining aspect of bitcoin, and have been mining constantly using 2-3 GPUs since May 2011. I'm currently about to receive my first BFL Single and am in the process of ramping up my operations using FPGAs.

I originally got involved with bitcoin mining by hearing about it from a friend. I'd heard of bitcoin before but not understood what it really was or how it worked. After quite some reading and research I'd like to think I have a good basic understanding of bitcoin and bitcoin mining. I used to be a hardcore gamer and happened to have a heavily overclocked 5850 with a solid aftermarket heatsink ready to go, and that's how I made my first money mining. I'm currently running the 5850 and 7970 each in their own dedicated boxes. I have a 6970 in my main system, but I don't usually run that as a miner anymore because it gets too hot in my room. I'm looking at setting up an array of 6 BFL Singles (hopefully more over time and even a Mini Rig Box eventually) with an old XP Pro laptop that only consumes 10 watts when the screen is off. This should be a high profitability setup. I'd love to make bitcoin mining my sole occupation but that's a dream at this point. I enjoy doing it just as a hobby, although I will be eventually making a little extra money eventually once the Singles have broke even (hopefully).

I've been lurking for a bit but not decided to register until today, since I'm making bitcoin a bigger part of my life and I'd like to get involved with the rest of the community. I'd also like to look at alternatives to the major exchanges such as MtGox (all I've used so far) such as Bitcoin-OTC, but I'm not sure how to go about that yet. Hopefully I can also help some others here on the forums in exchange for people helping me.  Smiley

Hello, lurked a while, regged a few months ago, finally saying Hi.

Reason I came to post was because anonibet.com seems to be having an issue with their deposit page.  Was wondering if anyone else was having issues with anonibet tonight.

Saw bitcoins as a way to learn about arbitrage and trading with a small initial investment. Found out I was too late to the game, so now it's just a hobby.
