how do I get a holographic bitcoin, is anyone talking about a silver bitcoin, and how do I get stickers for shops around Melbourne??? Are there any projects to promote bitcoin? I agree with Frank about OTC, and think it'd be great to get some physical currency into the world.
helloes and welcome. holographic, physical bitcoins? casascius makes those: https://www.casascius.com/but they're just a gimmick. Anyone can make such, and you have to trust the issuer that they didn't keep a copy of the private key. The point of Bitcoin is that you don't have to trust anybody. That's how and why Bitcoin works. Therefore, there won't be serious physical coins. For meatspace, use mobile clients instead, or the upcoming bitcoincard. Are there any projects to promote bitcoin?

Hi all. I have been a Bitcoin user since early 2011. I have also been lurking on this forum for about a year but have decided that it's time to finally get my hands dirty and post something!

When I first heard of Bitcoin, my mind was closed to it, because I was thinking this was just another centrally controlled currency.
Then recently I started seeing people who are apostles of the State, attacking Bitcoin as a bad thing. That was when I decided to do research on what this bitcoin is. I was amazed to find that it was designed to be a decentralized currency, where the value can't be decided by any central bank or centrally controlled group.
Some time ago I realized that all tyranny and economic inequity is the result of central control of resources and/or prices.
The creation of a currency that is diametrically opposed to attempts by a small group to centrally control it, is a great poison to the tyrant, and the rent seeker.
As to myself, I have small business in the Keystone State, USA. I shall be excepting bitcoins there.
Also, my business is totally "legal" and conducted openly.

Hey, So I was assigned to do a project involving bitcoin mining for my university. FPGA's rock and I get to keep the profits.
I've gotten more interested in the trading and economics of this stuff and hopefully will have some software out soon with regards to that.
