Hey, it seems like getting out of the newbie box is going to take awhile.

I'm working on some BitCoin related websites that'll launch as soon as I acquire some more coin and find an area to promote it.

What kind of projects are you working on, or is it secret?

Not secret!

I've ran a 'Free Second Life Linden' site since 2007, and I'm basically going to open one up for BitCoins soon. Where users do things like watch youtube videos/ads, facebook LIKE pages, complete offers, register to sites, etc. and earn BitCoin. In addition to BitCoins users could also withdraw the earned rewards to Second Life, or redeem for amazon gift cards, etc. The site is done, minimum withdrawal is 0.01 BitCoins. I just need to buy/trade for more. Ive traded $L for some, but need more to be on the safe side. On average I'd assume most users would only be able to earn like 0.25 BTC, more only if they put in a lot of effort in 'Tasks'.

Other sites I was thinking about were an online casino where users could compete in skill based games to see who gets the highest amount of points. I'd also like to try my hand at a marketplace.

Those are probably the best three ideas I have. The codes all done from previous projects. Ive had lots of random virtual currency websites over the past few years, so its basically just reworking them for BitCoins and seeing if theres any interest.

sounds like great idea!

Yes, great idea indeed! Looking forward to the release!
whats your free second life site link?

Hi!
My name is slughead, L337 is cool in 2001 when I created the name. If you google s1ugh34d, you'll see I'm a long term geek and forum user.

I started bitcoin mining back in 2011, and fell off shortly once no bitcoin was ever generated by my AMD 555 BE. Now with GPU's I never was an avid gamer, so I never upgraded from my 8800GT and I also own two businesses IT consulting, and Mobile Disc Jockey services.

I recently picked up a 6970 and got mining. Doing well now, really have read about twenty or more threads here without signing up.

I've signed up to enter the marketplace, because I'm building mining rigs all over my house.

I appreciate the help I've found here, and will attempt to contribute as much as possible.

Hello! New miner reporting in! Started mining yesterday, figured out that since i'm burning cpu cycles anyway on stuff like folding@home, i could just as well try to make a (tiny) profit on my cycles.

Hi I'm larynth aka Matt, I'm a student programmer who was turned on to bitcoin through A Tale in the Desert creator Andrew Tepper. Not much to say other than Hi and I GPU mine casually and buy/sell bitcoins for cash locally.

Hi there!
I'm not new to this forum, but until now I did not feel the urge to share my thoughts on it. Hence no need to register before.
I owned some coins bought at the highest peak right before the 2011 crash. I did sell some in small batches in recent days and now I'm waiting to use this fiat to buy more coins cheap. So far, the plan seems to be working...  Cool
I'm in bitcoins for the long run and if bitcoin value proves to be zero, I don't have problem with it. Frankly, I lost a lot more in other endeavors before.

Hey, I was just reading about BFGMiner when I discovered I couldn't make a thoughtful reply. No, it wasn't due to newbie restrictions...
