Hello I'm from Bulgaria and a lot of people here are starting up their interest in BitCoins. I decided somehow got hooked too (maybe because of the idea of free CASH ) So anyway - are there any other Bulgarians here, that can maybe help me out a bit in pure Bulgarian Language, because I can't quite get a hold of it in English...

I just wanted to say hello. It seems I'm really late to the party... but this is one of the coolest things I've ever heard of.

Hey there bitminers and bittraders!
I started mining just over a week ago and have built up just shy of 10 BTC so far. I now cannot bring myself to play games as this will delay my mining and minimise profits. So now all I do is watch the coins roll in, whilst learning C#, and pondering about the future of bitcoin.
At the current rate of BTC to GBP this seems to pay my monthly rent and electricity. This is something I still cannot quite wrap my head around. Something I also noticed is that it seems to be the strongest currency in the world at the moment..
Anyway, someone stated that the US federal reserve does not like bitcoin. At first I thought this was obvious but on second thoughts, there is nothing stopping 'them' from profiting huge amounts too. So at the risk of seeming naive; What is to stop 'them' or some other huge corporation dedicating a huge supercomputer-like-cluster to mining and suddenly having lets say 70% of the total hashing power, and doing what people accuse deepbit of having the possibility of doing (whatever that is, though I suspect its just jealousy)

BetweentheFabric: If someone controls over 50 % of the computing power, they can (re-)write new blocks of history as they choose. Besides deciding what will and what won't make it into the blockchain (thus arbitrarily accepting or rejecting transactions), they could also double-spend their bitcoins.
The kind of risky investment bitcoins are at the moment, however, I guess most rich people have many more profitable options than paying a lot for rapidly outdating hardware to make a few bitcoin users angry.
Yours David

I'm new to the forum and sort of new to BC been following it a couple months. Not really kicking myself that I didn't get in when it was under a dollar, no sense in that. Just here to learn as much as I can about, interesting concept.

I'm from the US. I'll be mining at >1 Gh/s within the week on two 6970s and a 6770 + other random computers. I made this utility: Bitcoinvert.com - It's a currency conversion calculator between Bitcoins and major currencies. Try it out, and let me know what you think.

Hello to all, Also new, completely fascinated by BTC. The techy stuff is a little over my head, but this whole concept is incredibly interesting from the angle of my academic research (that is, if a lack of maths doesn't hold me back)... I will probably have many silly questions, but for now I'll keep it short. It's nice to meet you all - looking forward to speaking again i.f.

;;ident BTC_Bear
That is usually how one introduces one's self in the BitCoin world.
Let me know when I am no longer a member of the newbie group.
Best Regards,
The Bear
I will endeavor to facilitate the newbies... to the wild world of BitCoin....
PS. if there are any Lawyers here, I would like to schedule a moderated chat on the irc.freenode.net #bitcoin-court I am sure there would be a lot of questions...... from many... there... Please PM me on the channel, if you want to schedule a time...
This could be very beneficial to the success of BitCoin.... ultimately....
Possible Questions to expect:
Are BitCoins Legal?
Is it legal to purchase a cryptographic piece of 'real estate' in the block chain secured by mathematical formulas - otherwise known as BitCoin?
--if yes, what is the difference between BitCoin and others like WoW, Linden, or even monopoly money? --if no, then any advice on setting up official business' within the U.S. (lets stop sending innovation overseas)
and etc....
Best Regards,
The Bear

I'm new to Bitcoin but experienced in online marketing and especially SEO. I own a large number of websites, of which most are operated as affiliate websites. I have been reading almost non-stop about Bitcoins over the last week and find it incredibly fascinating. I am even considering investing in a multi-Gh rig and start mining, but I want to see what the latest difficulty level is going to bring before deciding...
