Hello everyone!

I've only recently discovered this amazing phenomena and cant stop reading as much as I can.

My girlfriend tells me that I've probably gotten someone else :-) and that I spend during the weekend almost 20 hours in front of the computer.

Naaah!

It can't be!

Little did she know that I was reading like crazy so I can configure the best price/performance ratio mining rig possible and placing orders to build 2.

So, imagine her surprise when I brought in on Monday the truck load of parts and declared that I am going to build data-crunching gear and going to make some money with it!

2 hrs later and I had the 2 quad-5780 machines working mildly overclocked (1.53 Gh/s each) as part of a pool that pays instantly.

Just now, I've got 2.5 shiny new BTC's in my Bitcoin (well, little bit more, but let's keep the anonymous nature of the BTC, right?)

Hmmm...I am too noob at this stage and my pea brain is not capable of doing such complex calculations - I am an engineer by trade, not an accountant.

I did use idle money to buy the components for those rigs though, so I am not looking to do this as an investment - just a new toy to play with and learn - and if I manage to make a BTC or two in the process - hey, it's even better!

Not wanting to boast, but I am already onto my next project - a quad 6990 rig with a single 1600W PSU - I have not seen anyone so far claiming to have done it - but my friendly local computer supplier says that she is going to give me a good discount on the 6990 stock that is not moving quickly, why would I say no to that?

Hello everyone, I first found out about Bitcoin in April 2010, mined 50 coins, and have just discovered the community again in the last month since I started hearing about it from different news sources, even the mainstream media!

Anyway, I am a web developer and have started day trading on the exchanges. The big problem I see with Bitcoin in the long-term of course is that there simply isn't much you can buy with them yet, and I think that is why recently there's been a run-up of $20 USD/1 BTC down to $12. Happy trading all and look out for the bubbles

I agree, there is an anti-spam technique known as CAPTCHA, although that doesn't stop the human-generated spam or the trolls.
