I'm one of the post-bubble Bitcoin Boomers. Started around the end of June. Now producing about 2200Mh/s. I hope to sell enough BTC to pay off my hardware within the next 6 weeks or so, then keep the rest for investment and/or actually buying things with BTC!

Hello. New to Bit Coins etc. actually just set up this account to be able to reply in regards to the so-called Global Standard bank, as I am in Montreal. So I came across them while on Kijiji, called them up and discussed tradin 13BTC that I had. I got all kinds of reassurance of course, and stupid me, with out googling etc. went ahead with the trade. they mentioned that the transaction has to be at about 50 confirmations before they will meet for payment. and mine is currently at 12. so I will follow up with a positive or negative on the transaction by tomorrow. I too looked at the address and find it very sketchy. I know the location, and cant see whhy they gave me the general address without a suite number, further, I dont see how they can afford an office at this location unless they are funded by the mob...which is very possible here in montreal. anyhow. i will leave it at that for now, and follow up once i can confirm ive been ripped off...err i mean once ive confirmed payment.. ...I guess if it takes me being a sucker to put this scam to rest, so be it, its less than 200 bucks, not the end of the world

Greetings everyone, It is my great pleasure to meet all of you. I have come into the possession of some amazing mining equipment that arrived here faster than I can even put it together. It it beautiful... However, this being my second day on bitcoin forum, I must say, it's a lot to take in. I admit I am pretty much a noob when it comes to bitcoin. If any other established miners would care to personally mentor me, it would be greatly appreciated. Other than that, I'm a firm believer in the new free economy that is bitcoin, and the potential it has to make the world a better place. I would ask anyone who also has plans or ideas regarding the creation of this new free society to contact me with their thought, I so enjoy hearing them. -Kbundy

I heard about Bitcoins on Planet Money and thought it was interesting. So far I've learned that passwords need to be insanely tough these days, and quite a lot of technical bitcoin details. I'm fairly certain these are tulip bulbs without the pretty flowers, but still fascinating.

Hi folks, I believe that the NSA/MOSAD originated Bitcoin and that it is a precursor of the first supranational currency. You can expect a disguised political attack, should we gain a 'critical mass', followed by a G20 application of BiTax and International Law Enforcement of those who are non-compliant, all the way to NATO on your azz. Long ways off yet and still 'IF' Bitcoin doesn't just fall flat on it's face with an almighty value crash. So then I am a Resource based free market anarchist, running a very successful Marketing Technology Business and .... well watch Zeitgeist Addendum and you pretty much got me down to size. I don't believe ANY BS in the Media and that includes contrived 'wikileaks' too ... just another NSA/MOSAD front to justify the coming multi-trillion cyber arms race against an enemy that doesn't exist = Anonymous ... yup you guessed it .... NSA/MOSAD too. throw me a bone here ....... who can invite me to https://www.bitcoinmarket.com/ ? I'd estimate my turning over 2000 - 5000 coins quite quickly Peace out (*JLB

Started using BitCoin about a couple of months ago... Decided to try it out properly and so got an ATI 6770 :-) Got a free copy of DiRT 3 as well to go with that so that's good... Hopefully looking at 3 months to recoup costs of the card through buying stuff on Amazon Using the GUI made by Kiv atm seems quite good, atm having a look at the namecoin spin off... Then back to BitCoins

Hi! I am: Finnish, male, high school student, nerd, a friend of Dorothy, in a relationship and interested in studying psychedelic drugs through experience, psychology and chemistry. I first heard of bitcoin from a friend who is, well, paranoid. He introduced me to tor, bitcoin and proxies etc. From then on I have been studying the internet and how secure/insecure it is/isn't to use through "normal" connections/browsers. And I have decided to use tor for everything else than posting on forums or imageboards and youtube. And also I have gained interest in bitcoin and it's possibility to become something more than a currency only used by a small-ish community. (compared to paper/coin currencies like €, £ and $) I am looking forward to using, trading and selling bitcoins, and of course I am also looking forward to chatting with people from this community

Hi, I'm dancupid from China (though I'm still British at the moment). 很高兴认识你们。
Bitcoin is semi-not-banned in China (you can buy them on taobao), though I've noticed that 'bitcoin' searches on Google often get blocked. Thank God for VPNs
