Slightly annoying, but it appears it would be pretty easy to spam 5 "adequate" posts in this section within the space of a few minutes. Only going to be a minor inconvenience rather than deterrent to any serious spammers. Edit: I now see that there's a 4 hour logged in time thing as well. Now that's going to put spammers off, but not really going to be an issue for anybody that was lurking anyway  . |

Sensible but annoying But sensible. ...and annoying At least I'll learn a bit about the forum before being able to participate in a real manner. That said, there are other ways to deal with spammers, though this must have been given due consideration. |

Honestly, people act like they are giving up a friggin' toe or something. I signed up yesterday after lurking for weeks and have racked up 8 hours and plenty of posts just reading up on things and doing a bit of trolling. It's not a big deal, and is enough of a deterrent to keep at least some of the shills away.
