Hi I have been trying for more than a month now to get Byteball running on an Intel NUC PC running Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit. It installs just fine but crashes 1-2 seconds after I start it. It doesn't get to the agreement screen or the type of client choice screen.

It also crashes when I try to run it as an admin. I tried to rename the byteball folders in Byteball, nothing changes. Is there a way to activate trace logs so that I can diagnose why it is crashing? Or does it need certain prerequisites to run (.Net Framework?).

I had the same behaviour from 1.8.2 up to 1.9.0. On another PC Byteball just runs fine. Help?

Thanks,
I have it running on a base Win 10 install with no issues.
How much free HD space do you have?
The byteball data directory is now a bit over 5 GB. I know some NUCs only had 32gb SSD drives. Take out space for OS and other things that might be an issue.

Also try both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

-Dave

happy new year! Smiley

3 coins is very interesting. byteball/elastic XEL/ Qtum/

will hold my 700BTC shares byteball for one year.

700 BTC shares byteball?  We got a whale in the house!  Cheesy

But yes, it's good to hold byteball for now... I'm curious what will happen with black byteballs.

Coinmarketcap gives 1,499 BTC as the market cap for all the byteballs distributed. I doubt anyone was given 700 BTC worth, that's almost half of all byteballs distributed. It would require linking approximately 30000 BTC to get that number of byteballs from the distribution.
Explorer shows that your bb address contains 1012588898911 bytes:

https://explorer.byteball.org/#N5M2V4ZV3GWBRIGPHKOIVFI54UHDDDGC

not half marketcap..

about 1012588898911 Smiley

byteball will be popular!

i will hold and buy BTC/Byteball/Qtum/elastic XEL  in 2017.

i am happy i am still hold my byteball, did not sell any!

https://explorer.byteball.org/#N5M2V4ZV3GWBRIGPHKOIVFI54UHDDDGC

right now, it's become more..

1347GB.

will hold this until 15th April 2018.

i will hold Byteball/Qtum/Elastic in 2017.

i am happy my forecast is right.

at 1st of Jan 2017, i posted i will hold byteball and Qtum and XEL

right now, i am at top20 of byteball address.

and i brought into Qtum ICO, price already 35X, made 34 times profit.

only left thing is XEL.

There are 5 Coins in Top 30 coinmarketcap.com list which are not traded on poloniex. Basic Attention Token, Waves, DigixDAO, BitConnect and Byteball. I think its time for Byteball listing on poloniex.

I have 250 GB free on the hard drive. Don't think this is the issue. I only see a 64 bit version for Windows on the download page. Where is a 32 bit version?

Thanks,

byteball will be top10 in next 6 months!

6 months is too long, in my opinion, just 4 months. Cool

that's why keep post it.

because i know this will happen.

and when people realize, byteball is in someway better and more practical than Ethereum, people will become crazy. but it will take time.

i will not be surprised if byteball become big than ripple.   Wink

https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-GBYTE  the biggest byteball market

if you want free byteball from a bitcoin balance you do it inside the byteball wallet. follow instructions on the first page.

Is there a website where we can check if a certain Bitcoin address is already linked?
I want to avoid the risk of linking it TWICE to two different Byball addresses

is there a mechanism in place to prevent anyone from linking their bitcoins twice or getting a double payout from the same coins  ?

Yes, there is a mechanism, otherwise some people would cheat. If bitcoins get linked twice both links won't work and you won't get bytes. Therefore it is very important not to link twice by mistake.

Is there anyway to ensure you haven't linked twice before the snapshot?
I added a Btc address to the android wallet but it was buggy and I ended up using the windows wallet...
Hopefully I didn't disqualify myself...

My byteball wallet remains unsynced since several days ago. It shows the message "Syncing... 88 private payments left".
I think I mess it all trying to send my blackbytes from one of my wallet dispositives to other repeatedly without suceess.

There is always a way out, which consist in tranferring the BTCs to a new BTC address which then can be safely linked to the byteball address. However it would be useful if we would have also a blacklist of the double-linked BTC addresses which have become invalid forever so that everyone can check that his own are all right.

Bittrex will surpass Poloniex again being more friendly than that. Volume at Bittrex has increased dramatically once people will start using margin trading that will be decisive day. Byteball anyway will go towards independence after adding new features where p2p is encouraged. This will take us to decentralization fully in steps.

I have a suspicion that Poloniex doesn't add alts from Russian developers as a rule for some reason. I may be wrong though. Does anyone know if there is a Russian project listed on Polo?
