Hello Steven , i would like to switch my order to your distributor.  May i have your email? I got a reply from Lily telling me my order are still valid and when i ask roughly when i can get a btc address and do a transfer.....no reply. My order number is 89561 and 89555.

Your best bet is to place the order with the Distributor the next time there stock goes up for sale. This will likely be in a week or 2. Once you are able to do that if you haven't heard from Lily in the mean time, send him an e-mail letting him know you have made other arrangements.

This way if Lily does get your order ready for processing before the new stock arrives you won't have to wait on the distributors stock.

There are companies that offer reship services I've never used one but a quick google search should help you find one. You have a bit of time between now and when the next stock arrives to find the best one for your circumstances.

yeah quite high, I expected something in the 30$ range maybe. I was surprised and pleased that they were selling them at the Canaan price. I figure that was because they were getting a break on price by being an official distributor on top of the pallet priceing. Lets hope that price comes down in the future.

That bootstrapping idea Steve was floating out there is now looking like an even better idea.

that's what I did..  shipping address is a transport company, they will send it to me (Europe).

$100 more than they were  is *meh* and to me still seems on the low end of what from a standard resale business standpoint would be added as markup to a distributors cost. All in all, considering that Amazon and eBay scalpers have been seen to advertise them for over $1k more I'd hardly bitch all things considered. Do keep in mind that miners are not mass-produced on the typical Consumer electronics scale of several hundreds of k to millions of units per-month. They are very much Boutique items and priced as such.

In my biz (industrial lasers) standard markup on components is over 100%. Systems we build sell for well over 200% of component, labor and other overhead costs In short, pricing is set by what the market supports.

The good part for us is that because Canaan is at least trying not doing regional exclusive distributorships they (the Official Distributors) will have have to keep that in mind as others are setup. The good old Competition Is Good thing ya know?

Where did you find your tracking number, I haven't received one yet, but have seen later orders with theirs

Who are you asking?

My business plan is this: Start mining and hope to make ROI back as soon as possible. Run miners as long as I can at least break even. Use funds generated to offset power bill and increase mining capacity.

My cost per kWh is around $.86 or .88.

No I'm in the Great White North, that's 2 people who ordered after me that got their confirmation lol. At least I know they got their money, now here's to hoping they just forgot to update me.

If you are still hunting I know the Rasp Pi kits are a decent price, and Philipma1957 has put out some pretty good advice on configuring them, He was going to set up a bunch for the group buy that never was.

Nice glad to hear you will be all set. Progress is nice. It does seem most people who have been on here trying for the past few weeks were able to get most of what they wanted.

Ordered five miners with Canaan on Aug 31st.  Exchanged emails with steve and lily about timing.  They were very helpful.  On Aug 15th lily suggested the ditributor would be faster.  I placed an order and emailed miner warez that day.  On the 18th a label was generated.  It shipped on the 19th as five boxes.  FedEx says arrival will be on the 22nd.  My price was same as canaans, shipping reasonable.  I'm in central US and my order number is between 1000 - 1025.

I'm happy with how it has worked out so far.

So people that ordered from Canaan directly on the 31st basically got screwed. Some of them were instructed to order from miner warez on the 15th (I haven't heard shit from them) and have stuff already shipped and the rest of us who ordered 2 weeks prior are still waiting on payment addresses. Wonderful.

I also ordered on Aug. 31st and have not heard back. I have opened tickets requesting payment information with no luck. I think they want us to go thru distribution company instead of them. Those who ordered on the 31st are out of luck, just my thought and hope I am wrong.
