Hopefully there is some sense of responsibility to those who have been waiting on prior order placement, and they can work on fulfilling those before sending everything they have to minerwarez.

Edit: Three weeks is a long time to wait with no communication, and then find out that customers who orders from a distributer much later are receiving their products.

Tried to order some miners. When it redirected to Coinbase, I am meet with "Page not found - Sorry we couldn't find what you were looking for."

Yeah I noticed that the paypal option was gone, but they did still take all major credit cards which have purchase protection on them.
Being an official distributor I'm sure all new units will be no different than if they came from Canaan themselves.

I don't have any doubts about being brand new. Shipment to Europe is 148$ plus 20% tax ot VAT( i'm not sure which one) is a bit on the lemon side. But the other option  for shipment was 400 and something using Fedex so it's still ok.
I really hope there's gonna be EU dealer soon. Anyway already I'm waiting my mine upgrade. And may be some more luck for Kano's pool.

Ordered five miners with Canaan on Aug 31st.  Exchanged emails with steve and lily about timing.  They were very helpful.  On Aug 15th lily suggested the ditributor would be faster.  I placed an order and emailed miner warez that day.  On the 18th a label was generated.  It shipped on the 19th as five boxes.  FedEx says arrival will be on the 22nd.  My price was same as canaans, shipping reasonable.  I'm in central US and my order number is between 1000 - 1025.

I'm happy with how it has worked out so far.

What was your Canaan order number?

It was in the 9070's, and is still listed as on hold.  Like others I placed an order with distributor but kept my canaan order open.

Yes. The issue is that figuring out where you are in the stack is hard.

 A) people who came earlier may be bailing because they were buy on the pure speculation that BTC would go from 5K to 10K
      They will cancel... or worse  when we give them the address and pricein BTC  they will say nothing and we wait for 2 days
       for them to respond ( the price is good for 2 days)

 B)  some people  try to double up their order once we respond.  When there were fewer orders it was always easy just
       to meet those demands.

I have an issue with my July 21 order shipped on july 27th.

It arrived around Aug 2  and was mining fine until today.

I am testing it with my aug 6th order.

I see that the miner does not start with either controller  but the august 6th order starts with both controllers.

the miner does not start with board b connected.
the miner does not start with a and b connected.

so both hash boards died
or the daughter board in the miner is dead

I posted a support ticket to canaan.io

I really would love to get a daughter board sent asap and see if that is what is broken

Got my "NEW" 741 miners from minerwarez.

Pretty freaking pissed, looks like they ran it in a barn for two years.  How the hell do you get bugs in it.

So the official word is that Canaan won't be fulfilling orders smaller than 60 units.  If your order was less than 60 units, look elsewhere.

Steve said he would try and prioritize his backorders with the distributor, but nothing happened from the email I sent several days ago with my Canaan order number. (Neither source has stock so this is un-surprising.)

It really is hard to purchase from them.

The Aug 31 order didn't work,
The bulk buy didn't work.
Getting from the distributor hasn't worked.

If I was a masochist, I would sign up for the new subscription program, then I could be disappointed on a regular basis

Just heard back from Canaan about my order on Aug 31st:

Greetings,

Our records show that recently you attempted to place an order on our webstore for the Avalon 741 and/or related products. We want to thank you for your order and apologize.

Due to the huge surge in orders we are unable to fulfill all of you who ordered. This surge in orders also came at time where we are transitioning to a distributor model  for smaller orders.

In the future our website will be tailored for larger orders where the minimum order quantity is 60 units. These  ship directly from our warehouse in Beijing. Payment for these orders will be by wire transfer only. If your order in the store is for 60 units or more we will be attending to your order shortly. We hope to have some of the backlog shipped before Oct 1, but many orders will not go out until after Oct10.  During Golden week, Oct 1- Oct 8, we will be shut down. We should have  good visibility into inventory after that time.

If your order was for less than 60 units, then we will not be able to ship your order from Hong Kong, nor will we be able to take BTC as Payment. We apologize for the confusion and any difficulty you may have experienced as a result. It certainly wasn't our plan to have our shift to a distribution model happen in this way.

Going forward  all small orders have to be handled by our distributor. We have set up one distributor in the US and are planning others in Europe, Asia, Canada, South America, and Russia. Check our website for details.

This really sucks and should of been sent out way before the distributor took orders on top of that OUR ORDERS FROM AUGUST 31st SHOULD OF BEEN SENT TO THE DISTRIBUTOR!

Remember they got a curveball from their GOV.  which had to hurt them.

Let's hope the miners are properly gassed before shipping so those critters were dead before getting shipped out of China/HK.... International regs require it for bulk shipments at least into the USA. The US CBP will come down very hard with at a minimum fines and even possibly ban import for a time if those things were alive when they got here.

If the shipment of miner(s) is inspected by CBP and they see that, even if the critters are dead the shipment WILL BE SEIZED and most likely destroyed...

Well I hope this isn't indicative of the quality since they've ramped up production. Hopefully they get back to you fast.
I'll have to wait and see I did start to get tracking info yesterday, I sent a couple emails asking for a number, not just the "it shipped" response, and poof there it was.
