it will overheat the miner. the fan is about 120mm around 5 inches. it is designed to push air into an empty space not a 5 inch tube. if it pushs into a tube the tube has to be bigger then the 120mm fan not equal or smaller. if noise is not an issue put the front of the miner in an 8 or 10 inch flex duct but the flex duct can only be about 12 feet or less before it has issues letting the hot air escape. I have been testing ideas since the s-5 came out as it was the first of many loud miners. http://www.homedepot.com/p/10-in-x-25-ft-Insulated-Flexible-Duct-R6-Silver-Jacket-F6IFD10X300/100142376?keyword=10+inch+flex+duct

Perhaps waiting to see reports of customers ordering new receiving new miners.

I'm impressed with that DGB pool as it runs better than the DGB P2Pool using Avalons and is quiet too low invalids. My A721 has the diff set at 8192 and can't get any higher than 4TH. So their is a struggle somewhere with the pool however numbers are better. give this one a try too stratum+tcp://sha256.coinstop.me:3002

In my case I don't care about the heat as my garage is a constant 85-92f all year round from mining. Does wonders for stiff back neck etc. I increase the power used in the winter and lower my heating bill. My garage is around 10 amps at 240 volts in summer and 17-18 amps at 240 volts in winter. I have 3 office spots with gpu rigs mining. mostly 2 and 3 card rigs to manage the noise. I have the solar array with 11kwatts and we will expand it over the next year.

I'm curious why you guys seem resigned to taking it. Isn't the proper thing to say, "give me my money back or I'm filing a dispute?" At the least, you're due a credit for the difference between new and used price.
totally agree, they should explain and reward.

Got my 9/30 batch order from MinerWarez today. They were basically new-in-box condition, the same as when I ordered from Canaan directly. All the cables included and they spun right up - either I got lucky, or the "used" condition miners were just to meet the initial rush.

That's good to hear! Does MinerWarez charge customs fees or taxes on the order?

I live in New Jersey. But I do very clean tax returns and when I file with New Jersey I make a sales tx payment every year. This is due to my IRS background . Many people do pay sales tax. Like I do. After the fact.

Do any of you have good experience using the voltage offset +1 option? Do you see any improvement in hashrate or is it just waste of electricity?
Sometimes on this option, I do get a reduced hashrate instead of an improvement.
