For us Catholics we believe in obediential potency. Obediential potency is the natural facility given by God to us, enabling us to know God. It's like ever since we were born we already know that there is a God who created us all and loves us all so much. Big Bang doesn't explain things like emotion, spirituality, or even thought, to say nothing about intelligence. If Big Bang were truth, these things must have existed within Big Bang, or they wouldn't exist now. So, if Big Bang were the truth, Big Bang would be God. Why? Because nature and the universe has a whole lot of things that are way beyond mankind in emotion, spirituality, and intelligent design.

Big Bang Theory is science fiction at this moment. If it were even an approximation of reality, the formulators of it would have included emotion, spirituality, and intelligent design... and would have admitted to the existence of God if they were at all honest.

My opinion for why God exists in people's mind is because those people BELIEVE that there is a GOD  . Although they do not see him and feel him, they believe because their heart tells them to believe and have faith. Some people may not believe in Him and question other people's faith but for me we should just respect that. You are right that we are the ones who made things possible but according to what I can see those believers of God finds strength whenever they ask and pray to Him.

When you talk about science and proofs, please be aware that you can research just created, visible world, after the beginning of the universe.
Scientists can't research beyond time and space, before creation of all universe.

To believe in God or not believe is just matter of peoples opinion, nothing more. Why do i say that... well when God created us and everything else he gaved us humans free will. That is one of most precious things that human race have. Some one would say that God have abandon us when he created us, and that could be truth, consider free will. Love in its truest form, Christianity, is what fixes the plagues and problems of the earth. Whether it is abortion, mass murders, greed, etc., love would fix all of it. Without "religion", the earth would be an even bigger mess.

God did not create plagues. God did use plagues in the Old Testament to demonstrate to His people who God is, and to this day we still remember these historical times that are 100% true and real.

Actually, I do believe in air as it can be measured scientifically. Hence my point of proof.
