Is taxation theft?

Stealing is an unethical, cultural act. Many find ways to escape the tax. As your income grows you should pay a tax as required by law. At present, many state agencies seek to circumvent the law and tax evasion. This is not really a good thing to be serious.

Making taxes voluntarily won't work. Because if that is implemented, then a section of the population will be subsidizing the others. Either there should be no taxes, or everyone should pay the taxes.

A section of the population already subsidizes others through taxes, since there's no proportional contribution based on services used.  Those that use government services usually contribute the least, and those that use the least contribute the most.  It's the nature of the game...it's a forced wealth transfer, with the government keeping some for themselves.  Ultra wealthy get to loop hole their way out of paying what would normally be perceived.

The rulers came up with such a law to take away some of the money from people under the guise of taxes and very often use this money for their own purposes. Previously, people were slaves and worked for their masters, and in the modern world, slaves pay taxes.

Not paying the tax is theft according to me. Whatever government is collecting on the name of tax is being utilized for us - Roads, parks, corporations etc. Taxation is for the betterment of society, so lets all pay it fairly without escaping from it.

Not paying the tax is theft according to me. Whatever government is collecting on the name of tax is being utilized for us - Roads, parks, corporations etc. Taxation is for the betterment of society, so lets all pay it fairly without escaping from it.

Is the government accountable for the way the taxes are spent, i think not, Most of the taxes are given to other countries as aid, whiles we have our own citizens in need of aid as well, we should prioritize on how we spend the taxes of the people if it doesn't benefit them in the long run.

I don't think so my reasons are,,,first the government use the money realized from it for special duties and payment of salaries again for the maintenance of infrastructures and all that...secondly most countries budgets do come from their taxation. So its cool for a country or group of people to pay taxes

Would it be cool if you were forced to pay a used car dealership for an old car of their choice, for the price of their choice?  And if you didn't pay for the old car of their choice, then you might need to defend yourself or go to jail?

See you can walk away from that car dealership, and no one is forcing you to buy anything.  But you can't walk away from paying the government.  You are forced to purchase the service that the government is choosing to give you.  If the price is too high for the service you get, you don't have the choice of saying "no thanks, I'll shop around".

In an ideal environment, the government will give you exactly what you'd want, but realistically the government gives you exactly what it wants.  Then you're stuck with the bill.

In Medieval Iceland the legislators were called Chieftains who represented their Assemblymen (basically the head of a household). The Assemblymen were able to choose their Chieftan no matter where they lived. By having a choice of Chieftain it kept them in line. It put some competition in governance.

If most of the tax revenues were going for infrastructural projects, then I would have agreed with what you had posted. But nowadays, most of the government budget is wasted on waging wars and giving out salaries to the government employees.

Taxation for me is not a theft, instead it is also commanded by God ever since. And all countries in the entire world are implementing
this according to their laws.

It is not theft for me basically. It is in the constitution that the government may impose taxes on the people. That is how the government is also fueled or supported to provide services to the people. However, it would easily become theft if the taxes that people pay go to the pockets of some few corrupt leaders.

Yes, taxes are certainly a theft. People constantly spend their money in the course of their lives to the state, but with this money, the rulers just have fun and do not want to take care of the country.

Except when you pay for a box office payment you are doing so voluntarily. Paying for a service you want for an agreed upon price.
