These are just small pocket-change when compared to the trillions being spent on invading various third world nations. For example, the invasion of Iraq cost the American tax payers close to $2 trillion (till now).

Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security spends vastly more than the Iraq war each year.

As already mentioned, healthcare is a strict necessity that can not go. Furthermore, the spending on health care are only so atrociously high because pharma and insurance companies make up arbitrarily high prices that do not even remotely reflect their costs. It's an outright scam that nobody cares to do anything about, all while voting for some redundant party or presidential candidate that won't do jackshit about any of the underlying core issues.

The healthcare costs in the United States is vastly inflated. Everything is ultra-expensive, including doctor's consultation, surgery, pharmaceutical products.etc. A surgery which costs $100,000 in the United States costs less than $5,000 in Thailand or Singapore. Similarly, prescription medicine, which costs $100 in the US is available for just $5 in Mexico.

I think that taxes are used for other purposes. Instead of improving the situation in the country, this money is used for the entertainment of rulers and for war. I believe that taxes do not need to be paid and then it will be better.

I don't think we should turn our eyes and effort against tax and taxing.
It is a civic responsiblity and monies generated therein are suppose to be used to better the lives of the people, like provision of social amenities.

Though taxation in itself is not thievery but i believe its high time that the government is held accountable to exactly what they actually use these monies they collect from their citizens are used to do. I know that lots of US citizens pay outrageous sum of money all in the name of taxation which is then given to an African President just to misuse.

Why Taxation Might Be a Form of Theft

Imagine that I have founded a charity organization that helps the poor. But not enough people are voluntarily contributing to my charity, so many of the poor remain hungry. I decide to solve the problem by approaching well-off people on the street, pointing a gun at them, and demanding their money. I funnel the money into my charity, and the poor are fed and clothed at last.

In this scenario, I would be called a thief. Why? The answer seems to be: because I am taking other people’s property without their consent. The italicized phrase just seems to be what “theft” means. “Taking without consent” includes taking by means of a threat of force issued against other people, as in this example. This fact is not altered by what I do with the money after taking it. You wouldn’t say, “Oh, you gave the money to the poor? In that case, taking people’s property without consent wasn’t theft after all.” No; you might claim that it was a socially beneficial theft, but it was still a theft.

Now compare the case of taxation. When the government “taxes” citizens, what this means is that the government demands money from each citizen, under a threat of force: if you do not pay, armed agents hired by the government will take you away and lock you in a cage. This looks like about as clear a case as any of taking people’s property without consent. So the government is a thief. This conclusion is not changed by the fact that the government uses the money for a good cause (if it does so). That might make taxation a socially beneficial kind of theft, but it is still theft.

Congratulations its a good example in the way politicians used the money of the taxes for selfish reasons.

Don't confuse healthcare with insurance. Insurance is not a right, and regulation is not the solution. Any country who has free healthcare either blows out their debt or taxes you at 70%, causing no incentive to innovate, create jobs, etc. If you increase competition and allow more private insurers to enter the marketplace, the price will drop exponentially.

There are two important factors here:

1. Most of the government officials get good salary packages, which are drawn from the tax revenues.
2. Tax money is used for wasteful spending, such as invading third world nations.

Taxation is not a theft. Without it the nation will suffer and will not be able to stand but excessive taxation and corruption of taxes by the government officials is brighter than the sun a form of theft.

In the USA, income tax was always voluntary. The tax people know this. But they consider that you have volunteered even if you attempt to tell them, "No." However, once you find the way to volunteer out, they will hide from you so that they can keep stealing your wages. You will have to go out and dig them up and take them to court to get them to stop taking your money.

taxation might be bad for other reasons. For instance, there is evidence that your tax dollars aren’t spent very efficiently. And, taxation can slow economic growth, a result that’s bad for everyone, including the poor. But saying that taxation is unwise is different than saying taxation is theft.

Taxation is not a teft. It just a rightful way of contributing to our nation-building. There are time that I consider it as theft. The reason why we pay tax is for he betterment of our own country. But, how are we supposed to feel okay about it if we do not see a lot of progress at all? That’s what I think.

In most of the third world nations, only a small minority pay their taxes. As a result, the burden on the tax payers is much higher than those in the developed nations. For example, in my country only 2.5% of the population pays the income tax. That means that they are subsidizing the remaining 97.5% of the population. This model is simply not sustainable.
