I do not mind taxes if they are put to good use. One thing I hate about it though is burdening the rich more. As said before, you can not make the rich rich by making the rich poor. They took the easy way out of things, but threw out more money for a while. Something as simple as a traffic light attracts millions of dollars a year just to have fun.

In some ways, taxes are used for infrastructure for buildings, highways, hospitals, schools, etc, that can help a country. If taxes are used in a good way, there will be no problem but in the government, there are some who steal these taxes and use them for their own good and profit.

In Alabama for example, an agent of the state tax requires that taxpayers fill out a detailed questionnaire to help identify post-tax better. Alabama also require employers to send form W-2 much earlier to try and compensate for the delay. In the end, if there is a file suspicious caught, there will be an investigation detailed above claims can cause a delay is the longest.

I think this is probably one of the brightest answer to this question. If you don't agree on any of the ways your tax-money is spent, then it is theft. For example: if 90%+ of your tax-money is spent to bomb people in Afghanistan so that an oil pipeline can be built and someone can profit by Afghanistan turning into the producer of 90% of the world's heroin production, then your tax-money is not paying for the services you are supposed to receive by the state. Well, this IS theft.

The real reason for invading Afghanistan was to take control of the global heroin production. After the NATO invaded Afghanistan and established control, huge quantities of heroin was shipped towards Iran and Russia, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths there. The CIA achieved its objective of killing huge numbers of Iranians and Russians, without spending a single bullet.

If you studied Ec, yes, a tax is theft unless the full amount is actually spent back into the people or improvement of the country, it would go back to the cycle.

Yes, but actually the right formulation would be: "to resume and take back control". Afghanistan had been transformed by the CIA in the number one producer of heroin in the eighties, when the USA was financing the mujadeen to fight Soviet invasion. Later, the Talibans had almost eradicated Opium production, which was resumed after that NATO had invaded and taken control of the country. Of course, there are no coincidences.

taxation sometimes is a theft or at least there is a social injustice.........big money can easily avoid paying tax.... and its not punished because in most cases their action is legal............e.g by globalization (off-shore etc.) ...small money or in other words.. the average people.. can not ..they only live in one country...most of the people have no possibility to avoid taxes ............

I must have missed that in my Economics degree :-)
Theft is usually thought of as the unauthorized taking of property from another...   I don't like taxation that much, but my Govt is authorised to take it, so I'm saying no to it being theft.

Russia and Iran remains the main threat to the American dominance in the middle-east region. The CIA was left with two options. The first was to confront these nations directly. The second was to exterminate the youth in these nations by supplying them with heroin. They chose the second option, and as far as I know, it is working perfectly.

Personally, I do feel it is theft, I never consented to any taxation. I feel that this video helps explain the video quite well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMQZEIXBMs

but look, if it's done right, tax can help improve the country and it's cities. Imagine if everyone is paying their taxes and then you can ue that money to help upgrade the local hospital of childrens playground, rework the pawement, etc... But usually that's not the case and also, high taxes make people avoid them, like the luxury tax or income tax.

Yes I can help improve infrastructures of a country if it was handled correctly, but with curruption no way we can use it. It may also be for theft where people just want the monet they dont own on their account. Why because they are tempted by the bunch of money they handle.

Its it good for the Goverment here in the philippines to lessen the tax collection for the benefit of the majority. We have a higher take home pay than usual though the comodities but On a Reasonable hike.

Certainly not. Tax is created for the benefits of the people's interest, for the thing which can help the growth of the society, and also to pay the service of the workers in the government. So basically people working in this sector is our servant. But this thing is not happening, the situation turn into different meaning, people becomes the servant and they become the lord.
Because of this the meaning of tax now turn from good to corruption and by that these government officials are now the theft.

Tax is not a theft to be honest , tax help many aspects such as on our society or community and to our different services that will help us when there is a disaster such as the ambulance, hostpital and many more. And tax served to pay the government, so I think taxation is not a theft it is a must.

No, taxation is part of responsibility of an individuals its either you are a worker or a businessman or self employed. You have a responsibility to contribute a 12% amount of money that comes from your income. So taxation is an obligation to all.

Paying tax is a government rule that every citizens on the country must follow. Whether simple person, poor, medium, and rich all are required to pay tax without any explanation to what is this, why we need this. Tax come from government that everybody now before born tax is smiling already. Even in the time of birth tax is there already. Tax in milk, wipes, pampers, and baby clothes and baby needs that can buy in the store. Tax is always working daily that the government catch it. It wasn't theft but the person whom have bad interest make tax distributable that the citizens become aggressive not to pay tax anymore but it cannot be.

Taxation is needed for the common welfare of community. Who would pay the streets and police if there would be no tax. But there are way to many civil servants, in most cases tax could be much lower (if a country would be controlled like a company).

Taxation is dependable on the government is the people or politician is  100% honest that they will use it for the people not for their own sake tax can be Good and cant be theft.

The roads we ply, the parks we use for recreation, pipe-borne water
we use and other social projects we enjoy as citizens like police force
et all could not have been achieved without the express duty of taxation.
Without tax, the government may not absolutely consummate its functions
to the society.

Corruption is the only thing that makes the taxation looks bad. But what if it was being use right? Then, everyone will be benefited from it and you will live a comfortable life. Government are the one in control so it will depend to them on how they will spend it.

Taxation in a certain is common. It is the tax that makes the government do it's work. Pay the compensation of government employees and finance the government projects. Tax is the bloodline of a country.
