I've been using nemos and following this thread for a while now so my recall of the initial learning curve and what's been said where is a bit hazy…
I agree out of date and/or minimal documentation is an irritating aspect of a lot of mining software. At least this thread is a relatively manageable size and has a good signal to noise ratio compared to wading through with something like claymore's thread. Thanks for taking the time to write a complete response; I'll try not to punish you unduly for doing so! So the one thing I am going to totally disagree with you is that telling someone, "the answer is in the thread - go read it," is totally unrealistic when the thread is 100+ pages long. Granted, some questions really are stupid and don't deserve a better response, but if the question is about how the program/script/batch file works and it wasn't addressed in the very first post then it's not the noob being lazy here, it's the OP. 1) I've have always been able to run from any folder without hardcoding a path so not sure why you had to do this. Upon further consideration, that might be because I right-clicked on the batch file and ran it as administrator so it wasn't starting in the current directory. 2) From memory mph was added later and the password requirement was probably mentioned in the thread at that time without updating the first post. See first paragraph; if the instructions aren't in the first post - or, at least, the first page of posts - then don't expect them to be followed/known. 3) Benchmarks run when no file for the algo/miner exists in the stats folder. Selected algos will be benchmarked on their first run and this is done by actively mining it on the pool and recording the hashrate. After that a benchmark will only run if you enable a new algo, a new miner gets installed or you've deleted one/all of the files e.g. to force a new benchmark when changing a card or tweaking overclocks etc. Gotcha. I knew it benchmarked at some point because the results are displayed in the main shell window, I just didn't know when/how it did it. 4) The -interval switch is how often the pools are checked for the best algo then the -ActiveMinerGainPct switch means it will only switch to that algo if it is earning more than x% more than the current one. This is a great new feature when the top 2 algos are only a few cents apart to stop the miner flip flopping between them every time they swapped place for little/no extra reward. In fact less because of the shares lost in switching and getting back up to speed. I understood the -ActiveMinerGainPct switch and changed it to 5% for the very reason you explained, but the -interval switch was a real mystery; I wasn't even sure what the units were - milliseconds, seconds, minutes? Now that you've explained it I think I'll change it to 300 seconds because 30 seconds is barely enough time for most miners to get up to speed. What's going on with your log files?! I checked a few rigs and the largest size I can find is <10MB. You've got bigger targets to save space than nemosminer logs if that's all the free space you have on the drive. I highly recommend a 64gb cheapo ssd + win10 litewinos 'distro' (from memory ~10gb installed) = plenty of free space even with a 32gb pagefile. Oh, I wasn't running out of space... yet... but if there is not a way to specify the maximum size of a log file and/or it is not overwritten each startup then it will consume all the free space on the drive, eventually. 1. Don't run as admin, run as admin will force the CMD in path of system32, therefore you will hit error. 2. If I'm not wrong, the default password of MPH for each worker is X.

Thanks for the nice comments on YiimpLogger. v2.0 has a 24h column, that's the only difference. But I found some small bugs.. Sorry guys, will be fixed soon. Also, Ahash has changed their API cache time.. That's why there are a few 0 eur/usd earnings per hour. Can't do anything about it.. Sorry. Take your time, it is a good tool, and many thanks for sharing out again. I hope someday someone will make a guide how to use YiiimpLogger with free hosting. Tried today on 000webhost (have sql and cron listed in futures) but nothing succeeded. Maybe someone have step-by-step guide? Thx )
What you mean by nothing succeeded? No data? Try manually run the two PHP files first, and see if there is any data populated. If no, maybe there is some restriction on the free hosting, need to debug (which need some technical skills). I can help you to host if you want, just provide your BTC address and pool name via PM.

Has anyone successfully run multiple instances whilst benchmarking? I tried changing the API ports in the miner PS1 files but the benchmarks still get confused between instances.
At the moment the workaround I have used is to benchmark each card individually, then mark the hashrates as read only.

Host it on your own pc using Wamp maybe? I am not so good in computers, especially in servers. Thats why i am looking for a step-by-step guide. So maybe someone will create it.

WHAT WARNING IS THAT IN AHASHPOOL? Announcement: (2018-01-27 17:46 UTC) Unfortunately, Crowdcoin CRC (neoscrypt) appears to have a chain split, and the pool ended up being in the shorter side of the split even though the pool is connected to 46 peers. Upon re-syncing to the longer chain, the pool had approximately 750 CRC orphaned during the 4 hours of mining on this split chain. This will affect miner's immature unconfirmed pending balance because orphans cannot get confirmed or cleared. It's sad that some coin's network just isn't well built. If you guys, as miners, see any "too good to be true" profit estimates, or long continuous streams of single coin blocks, it is probably too good to be true, and please contact us immediately to stop the coin.

It means you were mining air for 4 hours - ie, you'll get nothing and like it!

It happens, seen it on other pools too. Good thing is everyone is mining Blake2s and X17 right now since Neoscrypt is only 33% as profitable

See, this is what I don't get. I've been reading around and both of those algos seem to be prone to orphaned blocks and extreme amounts of price fluctuation. I used the startahashpool.bat (not 24h) and every 10 mins, I was switching algos. Unless there's a way to switch algos every minute or two (interval doesn't switch properly IME), then I'm stuck with the algo for 10 minutes. How can I be sure it isn't just being price manipulated? I'm assuming the answer is to use the 24h batch file and hope I'm being paid out properly?

Will do 2. I noticed it switches flawlessly for the benchmark section, but if I need to restart the client/batch file, it's back to 10 mins minimum until I switch. Is the "-donate 5" the dev's way of ensuring people pay up? 3. Noted 4. Good to know

Yep, had those parameters in the batch file initially. I'm still not sure if the switching works as it should on NH, but I've realized it doesn't really matter on a pool like AHP. Thanks for the info and guidance, chugging along with some Phi and Blake2s.

Go to NemosMiner-v2.4.1\Bin\NVIDIA-Alexis78Phi and replace ccminer with spmod version.
