Since Satoshi is still presumably alive, I wonder why he doesn't swing by every now and then to update us on what his vision is himself.

Satoshi died with Hal Finney.

Very presumptive of you, tera beara.

I think that the better presumption, for all intents and purposes, is that Satoshi is no longer alive.    Therefore, the best interpretation of his vision seems to be carried out through the current implementation of core and whatever good, bad and ugly goes along with it.

Personally, I think that it is a buy, if you don't have any, or an accumulate and HODL, if you have some, and sell only small amounts if you feel you want to attempt to accumulate more through expected ongoing volatility.

This piece of news hasn't been discussed much here yet, so what do you think of the Wavecrest debit card shutdown? The official word from VISA is that Wavecrest didn't comply with VISA regulations - but there's no hint at which specific regulations were disattended.

To me, it smells like a few governments put some pressure on VISA to end that service. VISA have been swift to oblige, as they always are as soon as a big actor uses power voice mode. But I might just be a rookie conspiracy theorist...

There are loads of other crypto/fiat debit cards that visa is still supporting. It's Wavecrest that visa is cracking down on, not crypto/fiat debit cards in general. It probably won't affect bitcoin's price anyway because most of the new buyers in the crypto ecosystem won't even know what a crypto/fiat debit card is yet.

Maybe he already did it anonymously through a new account, and nobody took any notice because it was just a bog standard new account writing about his vision.

Total ban on mining in China..
A slow orderly exit is planned - apparently confirmed by Jihan (by Cryptovenus)

https://twitter.com/cryptovenus/status/949405526315716608

The BTC market should see this in a positive way, but there is no accounting for stupidity.
The will force chinese miners to relocate and spread out geographically, and also cause them higher electricity costs, which will allow more competition.

I believe it.  There was that one Chinese miner that was using cheap hydro power and started closing up shop for no reason a while back and that was before the price went up.  Now the price is up and the Chinese don't seem to be stacking on much hash power with cost of production still really low, so they probably all have known about this forever.  Most of the increase in hash power was probably them just turning back on old antminers.

The higher ups in China + Russia are also going back to gold and silver as money.  The only reason US actors like Larry Summers and Bernanke (evil jews) hype this crypto garbage is because Fort Knox is either completely empty or close to it, plus they want to use craptocurrency as a bait and switch to trick people into a cashless society slave system.  Whether they want to or not, the jewish occupied US govt is eventually going to be forced to remonetize JP Morgan's enormous silver hoard as a currency backing (since most or all the gold is gone and the US law states a dollar is silver anyway).

Serious question - do you think Dr Craig S Wright is Satoshi?

Peter - if you are reading this I'm also interested in your view as well.

I think JayJuanGee is most likely Satoshi and is trolling us all.

I'm pretty sure Zuckerberg means using a p2p network to solve server bandwidth or privacy issues and nothing to do with actually using bitcoins or crypto currencies on facebook.

You are fucking ridiculous.

You come into this thread periodically and troll the thread with your BIG BLOCKER non-topical discussion points, your frequently passive aggressive attacks on bitcoin, and your various presentations about the many ways that bitcoin is supposedly broken, your recent pumping of bcash (acting like that is the "real" bitcoin vision), and then somehow you muster up additional arrogance to assert further bullshit and distractive accusations that others (more topical posters, such as yours truly) are trolls.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Isn't there a bcash thread or a r/btc thread that needs your self-proclaimed "expertise?"
