I'm quite surprised at all the negativity and uncertainty regarding BTC here.
IMHO BTC just went Hypodermic for a while and has now corrected back into the parabolic trend it has 'always' been in:

https://fs.bitcoinmagazine.com/img/images/Figure_2_2_uoCMXak.original.jpg
(SOZ; can't get the image to show here? Hopefully some who can will post it plz)

The above image hasn't been updated since the 4th, and the new 14K bottom (that aligns very nicely with the other 4 bottoms just below the top parabolic trend line) isn't shown.

IMHO exchanges need to be somehow persuaded/forced to adopt Segwit, but other than that we are looking at a an excellent buy opportunity atm.

Hypodermic...http://www.prdaily.com/Uploads/Public/i-do-not-think-it-means-what-you-think-it-means.jpg

 Grin
Hypodermic: the region immediately beneath the skin.
BTC certainly is under people here's skin!  But I thought perhaps the word had been adopted by traders as the guy who wrote the original article seems to know WTF he's talking about!..?
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitcoin-price-analysis-bitcoin-poised-potentially-large-market-move/

Thx for getting the graph up.

...I think that if your goal was to make an interim cashing out of BTC around the value of 60 BTC at $17k, then you could have started cashing out in 10BTC increments and met the same result with an incrementalism something like this:  1)10 BTC at $14,500, 10 BTC at $15,500, 10 BTC at $16,500, 10 BTC at $17,500, 10 BTC at $18,500, and 10 BTC at $19,500...

Hindsight is a real bitch, huh ?  Embarrassed

EDIT: Seeing BTC sink below $14k breaks my heart. I'm HODLing, and mentally preparing myself to work another quarter, aiming to exit the workforce in mid-late Q2. At least taking a wait-and-see approach and see how the market is like end of March. I waited too long and got greedy. Now I'm all despondent and stuff. Sheeit.

Seriously? You were talking about cashing out 1M @ 10K?  That was only 2 months ago. Put a your 60 on the block and stop it already.

No.

Nothing sadder than a sad, gay, black cowboy Sad

I should probably go write a Country song to properly convey the depths of my sadness...
You could premiere it at the next country music festival. I heard there's a good one in Carolina.

And prices of altcoins that we 10 cents a month ago are like 10 dollars today.

Honestly, altcoins are the way to go now. I'll buy back BTC later, but it is dying a slow death for now.

Yep, it really depends on how much you initially invested into it. I may not get superrich with it, but it´s a blast. Even if it goes down by half, or so.
People forget the timeline here. My bank would have given me one or two percent for my money, per fcking year !
No risk, no fun.

You enter the category of "superrich" at 30 million USD. I suspect a lot of the old bitcoiners in this thread are getting fairly close soon.

So we're still stuck at 14k. This feels like that time we were stuck at 600 and everyone went on about how bitcoin was dead.

HODLing, no big deal.

KashMiner    FFS

A late entry to the cloud mining scam game.... Kodak

As ever if its profitable, why do they need a customer to sell it to?

Quote from: Laz Alberto
I work for a company that is building a Bitcoin mining facility. I’ve spent countless hours building complex spreadsheets, modeling price fluctuations, scouting green energy, accounting for difficulty...

This, from @Kodak, is actually insulting. Please don’t give them money. https://twitter.com/fearthecowboy/status/950865561616920576

I think we are on the same page. This is a trap for the lemmings.

HODLing, no big deal.

Last year the MSM's mantra was "Stay away from Bitcoin."

Now the new year MSM paradigm shift is already "Crypto space is great, blockchain and shitcoins are good. If you're going to invest in this space, invest in anything and everything BUT Bitcoin."

Methinks that me sees a pattern here... hmmm...
