Anything to stop a westerner opening and trading on a BTCChina account?
You will need a working phone number. Other than this, no verification process. Also keep in mind that it might be complicated to get (fiat) money out from there. "Might be complicated" is an understatement. Chinese citizens are limited to 50k CNY remitted per year. Considering you're probably not a Chinese citizen, you're going to have difficulties. No problems if you import a lot. It's 50K USD, not 50K CNY. Also, those who want it have not had much problem obtaining USD. A lot of us don't really care much about the law(a point that must be empathized time and again) , the USD black market is very prosperous. |

14 hours later i'm still locked out of my gox account due to some bug where OTP magically appeared on my account and gives me invalid code when i don't have one set up. I found in the service section someone else has this issue.
I missed the sell at 390 and rebuy at 360.
I also had fiat i wanted to buy back into at 365 mark with, which totally flopped.
14 hours later, I still can't access my account still and watching the price float upwards. Support ticket hasn't even been assigned. How much money have these guys made off me and others? Unacceptable.
As soon as they fix whatever is locking my account (will probably be days) i'm going to market buy, withdraw everything and specifically email them to shut down my account.
Furious. B*stards.
always have multiple avenues into and out of this market... I do, 70% on stamp. Soon 100% will be in my block chain.info wallet. good move. I admit its really tempting to trade these rises and dumps on gox but also dangerous... despite learning that i tried to trade anyway and i lost 0.5 BTC over the past few days so into the wallet it goes, added benefit is that I don't have the soul sucked out of me. I was up 1 BTC now i'm down .5 (and counting who knows what this Goxxing will cost me, hopefully i'll be back online during a major dip  ), so i'm out. into the wallet, and time to worry about other stuff (lies?) |

It is 8:00 AM there now. I guess they just needed to get their cup of coffee and get going. I am really starting to appreciate China.  green tea, please! (srsly, that stuff is good. as a lifelong coffee drinker some tea really kicks me in) |

So do I sell now? $360's not bad is it? I mean it can go lower than that, right? I mean it can go right back down to $80 or worse if I'm not careful - so, K, $357 - I'm digging that. Last time I checked it was not so serious. There is quite an interesting thread about this particular exchange here on BT. Fake volume was mentioned somewhere in this thread, but I did not verify. It's been a while, maybe I have to re-check. There is a daily withdrawal limit of 10btc, but if you call the support, they would increase the limit. ATH stamp 364.88 |

It's little strange... Stamp an Btc-e are going crazy, but BtcChina (ok the did before stamp) and Gox aren't moving alot.
It is strange to see BTChina not react a lot. Not sure if good news or bad news. |
