Just wish I hadn't tossed out my old Sony Walkman Sport with AM/FM and convenient armband. Mine has mega bass! ..and auto reverse ...and song skip Intro-scan anybody?

Bitcoin is still plateauing, but a strange pop in Silver (metal) and gold miners (much more than gold): SLV and GDX are are up 4 and 5% respectively today. I am not a bug, but maybe it points to some developments behind the scenes.

The low inflation reading of 3% (yes, we consider that low now) has people cheering. Not that inflation is low, because we all know that is a blatant lie if we do our own shopping, but because it means that restarting the money printer is on the horizon. We just need a crippling recession that takes people’s homes first and then it’s game on for the economy.

I can correlate this with my country aka Pakistan. Pay increase by government is 30% this year while inflation rate is crossing 38%. Still people happy because increase in pay nobody cares about inflation. Actually government is giving money from one hand and taking it back from the other. But we are happy for what we are receiving. We think pay increase can solve our problems. Not to be stalking you too much WatChe.... yet.. let me say: this post is all fine and dandy, but you are missing the "but"At your earliest convenience, please insert the "but"

The whole world talks about unraveling its mystery? There isn't a mystery at all because the gigantic ship drowned in water due to its faulty construction and the heavy weight. No body has done anything with that gigantic ship, and whatever happened with the travelers was their destiny. If scientists somehow gain access to the ship once again then they will know that the iceberg wasn't the real cause of its drowning, but the faulty construction and its huge weight.

Excuse my late reply... you made very rational and valid points. But the (different kind of) bear markets are an emotional thing to me. No matter how many times I tell myself to go through them in a rational manner they always tend to drag on to my emotions. So when in doubt I often anticipate the worse case which is down. And most of the time when I say something like "we will (probably) go down", it's a sort of despair and an attempt to soothe my before mentioned emotions, not a prediction. .... in your description of the various coiners that can't wait for them corns to go up again you seem to have forgotten one kind: the one ho hasn't sold shit *again*, and who faces another barren run for several years *again* I know that there are all types of HODLers and soothsayer wannabes out there... and of course, we can never be sure the extent to which any of are talking our book, our emotions or some other thing that motivates us in how we frame our predictions (or lack of predictions). OT: If someone is interested in personal longevity "enhancement": Nothing there yet, but there are two majors (Altos labs and Calico) and several more specialized companies worth noting: https://longevity.technology/news/five-longevity-companies-to-watch-in-2023-and-altos/https://www.economist.com/science-and-technology/a-3bn-bet-on-finding-the-fountain-of-youth/21807244https://www.wsj.com/articles/longevity-clinics-aging-living-longer-2b98e773Altos raised 3bil just to start, so it is, potentially, a future "monster", but they are still at the research phase. Imho, the best shot at longevity treatment right now is, paradoxically or not, some anti-diabetics/weight loss medications: ozempic/wegovy (and similar, like mounjaro) and metformin. Among the companies above, there are some that could give you better diagnostics, but their benefits are less clear. This is pertinent unless you don't care about personal longevity and work mostly on transferring your sats to the future generation(s). A very interesting thought to me is that in order to live (almost) forever, your natural life span doesn't need to reach until the holey grail of longevity is found. You just have to live long enough until they come up with something that extends your life let's say 25 years. And within these 25 years they may find something that gives you another 30 ...and so on. That means there might already be people on the planet today that will live (almost) indefinitely... I don't think it works like that.. but hey.. call me a party poop - skeptic in regards to so many supposed increasing longevity desires (that are supposedly going to actually work). Only ~280 days until the next #Bitcoin halving HODL ON Bitcoin Magazine What to do with bitcoin halving if you don't have bitcoins. Cry like a little baby. Buy bitcoins, calculate bitcoin halving days
That's another possibility. Start buying now. .whether lump sum or DCA or front loading your DCA... buying on dips may work too.. not sure how much dips we will get, but sure, any way to get some cornz.. and see what happens in the coming year or two or three. And, if we realize that bitcoin is not merely a short term investment, we might consider that we will be holding our bitcoin at least a few cycles, which well might be 12 years or more.. even though surely some people are forced to have shorter timelines, so they will need to adjust their BTC accumulation, maintenance and/or liquidation strategies in terms of their own particular timeline.

Yes and it's also on Spotify; I've asked all the pertinent questions but apparently I'm missing the point and I've decided it's easier simply to defer to her superior intelligence. She's doing waaaaaay better in school than I ever did - I don't want to mess with that

The issue of ETFs is important both for the current year and for the next 2-3 years. If there is a possible rejection this summer, it is very likely that this year's bull market will end and we will return to the bear market until the effect of the halving is felt in 1 year. If accepted, it is possible to approach ATH already this year, i.e. to witness a unique bull cycle starting 1 year before the halving. It's clear that this is exactly why Blackrock wants to get in now, not when Bitcoin goes past 100K after the halving. It is still not clear, whether the SEC is ready to change its mind. The news from yesterday (or the other day) is that Cboe Refiles Spot Bitcoin ETFs Following Surveillance Agreement with Coinbase, i.e. the text "Expected to enter into an SSA" is replaced by such an agreement already entered into. Of course, Blackrock were the first with a ready SSA. https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/cboe-refiles-spot-bitcoin-etfs-following-surveillance-agreement-with-coinbase/Henceforth, the SEC has 2 sensible answers and 1 completely illogical one - the result of personal intrigues, political and financial influence, etc.: 1. Direct approval of all spot ETFs. The SEC can now feel victorious that they have brought Coinbase into some form of regulation, so this option is quite likely. 2. Indirect approval, subject to extending the scope of SSA. This means a requirement for the so-called pull actions i.e. the information-sharing agreement, under which the SEC will be able to request the personal data of those suspected of manipulations. I can only speculate here that Blackrock and the others would immediately enter into one, as long as Coinbase didn't object. Given that this will bode well for the stocks and help their future cooperation with the SEC, I believe that Coinbase has no basis for such a refusal. This topic is discussed in one article, but there is no comment from Blackrock et al.: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/blackrock-bitcoin-etf-application-takes-160452048.html3. Denial on grounds of manipulation and that most of the volume is in non-US exchanges. This, of course, is just a front behind which are the nefarious interests of certain high-ranking bankers, feds and politicians who are pulling clown Gary's strings. However, this behavior is becoming increasingly unlikely, especially if the Grayscale wins the case and is joined by Blackrock in the event of a refusal. As Jay Clayton said recently, it is becoming very difficult to sustain the SEC denial. So, the chances for an ETF approval are much higher now, than 2 months ago. And with a possible information-sharing agreement, IMO they would be over 90%. I don't have any problem with anything that you said.. except the part where you say that bitcoin's bull run is going to end if an ETF is not approved this year... and we will return to a bear market. Surely I have my doubts, and maybe it would be nice to see a denial of all the ETFs and to have bitcoin continue its UPpity in spite of such denial(s). This is not the decoupling I asked for. What is ES? Some shitcoin? By the way since bitcoin is an uncorrelated asset, it does not tend to follow.. except perhaps illusionarily in short-term periods.. ^You bastard! Calling false "Green Dildo!" alerts in the WO thread is an offence punishable by Bob's rusty pipe.
Friendly advice, Zoom out your chart, There is no false Green Dildo. Bitcoin has never been bearish, It's always bullish. Everything depends on your perspective! change it and you're bullish again! Join me ah...!!!! ha.....!!!! "We" have a saying in these here parts. "When in doubt zoom out," so you can never (or at least almost never) go wrong when playing the zoom out card.
