is it a good idea to make an colorful red and green blinking text at corner of the forum which will update bitcoin price every second?
so we don't want to go to coingecko or coinmarketcap to see price.

You don't have to do anything. The CloudFlare issue is not going to stay forever. It will be solved at some point, and Chartbuddy will start to post as usual. If you post something and see people do not respond, you have to understand that people are not interested to discuss it or maybe they don't want to discuss it with you. Sometimes trying to get attention could be disturbing for others and they may ignore you.

Take those words with a light heart as those are friendly advice.

Cheers!

Holy crap the ignore button is getting a good workout for all the merit farming.

I agree in principle that WO should remove meriting, as it seems to have become a bit of a shit-magnet. Should probably remove me as a merit source though, as I don't really interact with other areas of these forums.

The other side of it, is it gives you a great place to curate a good ignore list.

I'm torn on the matter, but will support any decisions.

Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning Part One, is superb as you'd expect from Tom Cruise who completely ignores woke politics shite that are destroying Hollywood.

Sexy women, great action, awesome stunts, pumping soundtrack. Really justifies Imax on so many levels.

Excellent stuff. 8 out of 10 I would say but maybe a bit more.

Doesn't beat MI5, which I still think is the best one so far but it comes very close to being just as great.

Cruise has another billion+ dollar movie on his hands I suspect.
Disney should stand in the corner and hold its head in shame.

It's been like Groundhog Day movie for the last 2 weeks. It's just boring.

You think Groundhog Day movie is boring?

Not as boring as any Star Wars movie.

In what world did I say Groundhog Day movie was boring? Bill Murray is a great actor! All right, I have some time and explain like to a child/childish old man. His character is bored to live each day the same events watching these poor people doing exact same mistakes. It is obvious that I meant the price action which resembles the plot, not the movie itself. And to say this for Star Wars is just ridicoulous. And what is the connection between these two movies? I don't follow the logic.

I find Lord of The Rings extremely boring, just can't get into it at all, but not Star Wars and certainly not GroundHog Day, which is probably the best comedy from the 1990s.
Harold Ramis' most famous other movie: Lampoon's Vacation is probably one of the best comedies of the 1980s but I think Planes, Trains and Automobiles just about nabs the top spot.

I'm contemplating asking making a plea to theymos to turn off merits for the WO thread. Yay or nay?

Nay. I find merit whores amusing.

If anything, figure out a way to ban any linking to Twitter. That's what's really annoying.

I second that from a slightly different angle. I never used the Ignore button much in the past, but I've taken a recent liking to it.

Banning links to Twitter seems a bit too draconian to me. As long as the OGs know better, merit whores will be mostly left empty handed here.

The only catch is you have to wear a MAGA hat and she will call you “Daddy” for the entirety of the date.  Grin

Does anyone believe the Mt. Gox repayment event may cause a downtrend?
Forget about 69 Billion Japanese yen and $40 million forked coin BCH.
Mt Gox will pay 142000 Bitcoins to creditors around $4.3 billion.

This is another biggest event before the halving.

Look what this guy says;

The repayment of Mt. Gox will be a unique event, which is certain to have a significant impact on the market, WhaleWire founder and CEO Jacob King believes.

After losing all their Bitcoin almost 10 years ago, most creditors are likely to sell at least part of their BTC once they finally get it back

Personally, I don't own any shitcoins at this moment.
I always hated the fork and never trusted BCH.

As far as I know, Mt.Gox will not pay everything at once, but in several tranches - and in addition, everyone got the option to choose whether they want to be paid in BTC/BCH or to their bank accounts. I believe that a part of people will prefer to accept payments to their bank accounts, which means that a good part of BTC will be sold by the bankruptcy trustee, and I hope that he has at least some business sense and will do it using OTC.

This is another biggest event before the halving.

Some just want to take advantage of the possibility that this will happen, but for me personally it is overblown and according to what I have already written, it should not have too much impact on the price of BTC. Of course, I'm not saying that people won't panic, as with any similar news - but weak hands will always be welcome to fill the bags of those who are just waiting for such opportunities.

Whoever had bitcoin ten years ago and lost it in the Mt. Gox drama could be sold their bitcoin, and they might have nothing today. They have seen how BTC has grown in the last ten years. If they have some common sense, they will hold it in a non-custodial wallet this time. I don't think they want to miss future pumps/ATH by selling their Bitcoins if they are not dumb. I feel like Bitcoiners will choose Bitcoin to be paid (Considering those people are early adopters). Since they will be offered the same amount of BCH, they may take it to the bank instead.
