There’s a new mtgox status report out. It’s confidential so I don’t want to be the one to leak it for legal reasons, but I’m sure by morning it will be all over the place. Worth keeping an eye on if you’re a trader and want to be first in the know.
The creditors were supposed to be paid by September this year. What's new? Do they have to wait again for the legal procedure to be finished? |

If so, How?
I looked it up and its based on SMS messaging, which means the bitcoin is actually custodied by a third party service and bitcoin "credit" is transacted from phone to phone. TootRoot is a badass security vulnerability in Mastodon for any of you guys on it make sure to get the server patched right away or get pwned.
Thanks for the heads-up, that is indeed a pretty serious exploit/bug.. Updating my instance reminded me of how much I hate the whole ruby-on-rails mess. Would have been a good moment to quit Wokistan (aka the Fediverse) for good, but then again my ego doesn't too easily surrender to security problems so I'll probably rage-quit it at later point in time  |
