$11.83 daily change on Stamp, price showing at $288, not bad I'll take that . Now about that push back over $300......... How about by the end of the weekend? I don't want to break the $300 barrier if we're just going to get dumped on again, I'd rather consolidate in the high $280's for a while before the next significant push up.

Can I ask what is so good about Gemini?
Aren't there already exchanges? Why expect a upward movement in price?
Just wondering.
Thanks

This exchange will attract new institutional investors. Also, we can make a new countdown timer for it's launch. Countdown timers always work in bitcoin.

Gemini will be a "fully regulated, fully compliant" exchange with major fiat backing (Winklevoss twins) They also have a major stake in Bitcoin with a reported 1-2 percent of there assets in BTC. The Twins seem serious and motivated to "Make Bitcoin bigger then Facebook". If sombody will make BTC "Mainstream" it will be them.

Today the bitcoin price reached a good point of the week. TODAY'S HIGH $289.58 TODAY'S LOW $275.09 What is the next phase of the bitcoin?
Gemini phase, 290--->350. I would be happy to reach 300$ this month. If not then 350$ in August will be good. That is a reasonable price to have bitcoin at that time. And so on will not have space for panic

Most exchanges are awful with Euro, pound sterling etc. Apart from in the U.S. it's pretty shitty for the average person to buy bitcoins. This has most likely been mentioned 100s of times but if the winkles have that much what's to stop them dumping on Gemini? Not trolling, just asking.

Latest report mention they are filling for charter in the New York State which, correct me if I'm wrong, would make them the second fully regulated exchange in the U.S (on a national scale). My guess is chartered banks are likely to eventually have better support for international customers than traditional exchanges.

ItBit beat them for "fully regulated NY bitcoin exchange" by going down the banking trust route, which they are now copying. As you can see, ItBit isn't exactly experiencing market moving volume: https://tradeblock.com/markets/itbt/xbt-usd/15m/I think people get hopeful that the COIN ETF may be held back only by Gemini not existing. I'm not so sure, but I'm open to being pleasantly surprised. I think the action today was much more related to LTC pumping and OKC settlement day.

I don't doubt they know powerful people but powerful people are "usually" powerful as they are fairly intelligent. Now, I am mildly semi intelligent and I know if I were them I'd buy before Gemini is launched and the price potentially rises. Why wait for the winkles? I am not sold on this Gemini exchange doing much at all to the price. Not moon bound anyway but............ I really hope I am wrong and everyone points and laughs at me.

There is nothing new anymore about a regulated exchange. And with the swedish ETN the Twinkletossers ETF has lost much of it's novelty. But they somehow get all the media and all the fat cats to listen to them. Often just to point and laugh, but listen they do. Don't get me wrong. I still think a fully regulated ETF listed in NY is a big deal, just not as big as it was. And with the other exchanges, the ETN and general acceptance of BTC in financial circles, we don't need the Facepalm Bros to launch this mofo.

Well for starters , people with a lot of money are not going to risk jumping in without all the "proper stuff" online. Sure, some dabble in it I am sure, but even with coinbase which if pretty decent IMO, there is plenty of room for improvement. Plus dropping a million bucks into BTC would make the market go stinking nuts. Im sure you could buy up an order book rather easy with that kind of money. So in the end, I believe the big boys are on the sidelines still, they need security.

Nevertheless the biggest pricedriver will be the halving and the months before halving.
