i just bought 0.05789 btc on www.coinbase.com just to see if could get on my account there after a bit (all is well)

so I've started the ball rolling everyone jump on now for the push back to $1,000 usd btc (my plans may be a bit grandiose but what the heck)

Every bitcoiner should add 1btc to his holdings... this way the ball would really start to roll  

Keeping 5% of your bank balance at home in cash is a sure fire way to cause a crisis, if everybody did it. Cant imagine  too many rich boys liking that idea though. Who desires a crisis?

Sunday morning pump, I like it. I somehow doubt it's got the legs to get over 300 though. 'Minnows' will be taking 3-4 dollar profits & probably begin to dump now we're over 290. 

I'll be pleasantly surprised if this little pump continues though.

Tarmi was online today but hasn't posted since July 8th.

You can tell things are different now. The price is within a few dollars of a critical juncture and this place is dead. Truly this is the end of a bear market, sheer boredom whilst the price slowly rises.

do you mean: sheer boredom whilst the bear trolls are gradually replaced by the bull train and moon trolls, while the price increases

I mean sheer boredom because anyone that was going to sell dumped at 160 or 220 or at any point higher in the last 18 months. The only people left are those that are still buying or are waiting to buy in. Even the short interest has waned to below 10k. None of that means we move higher of course. Should we break up towards 400 then you may well be right

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still skirmishing in the $290 range I see, albeit with a slight rise overnight.

Volume is still typically weekend low, but the general upward drift of the sideways movement is heartening.

I'm starting to feel that maybe we've finally left $280 behind. I'll be heading back to the city tomorrow and if it doesn't take a buyable dip by then, I'll probably buy some coins anyhow just to get them while they're still under $300.

You do realize that bears can be temporarily leveraged long too? The difference is that bears shall take their profits at the next top, without waiting for a delusional moon.

You do realize that bears can be temporarily leveraged long too? The difference is that bears shall take their profits at the next top, without waiting for a delusional moon.

It is more the effect on the trading accounts of leveraged shorting a rise from 219 to 215, or more recently from 273 to 295 that might be more relevent to the complete absence of a vocal number of previous posters of a furry disposition. Some will have timed it right but it's much harder when you cannot rely on the confirmation bias of being with trend. Everyone is a genius in a bull market, right? And every bear is a genius in a bear market - until the trend changes.
