I do not want to be rude, or anything, but this is not a religion. There can be no heretics. And if a single person, with a single article can hurt "this much", maybe the system ain't that strong enough after all- yet?
Never understood why would anyone follow a "leader" here, and strangle the kitten of the "other tribe's warchief". This is so stone age, and explains why still no consensus, hint hint.
What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with the system. The system is unharmed and the maths behind it are impenetrable (in the todays world). This is about the sheep of this world and the corrupt media. Most of the media quickly picked up on this as the ultimate truth even though Hearns words have no meaning anymore and are backed by nothing but bias and rage (due to the failure of his project). I'm quite annoyed and tired of this constant nonsense. These people need to be shamed for all eternity. any big change in price is not so much due to one person - a hearn or karpeles- or one thing - scaling issues though they be trigger points but simply pumping and then drops.
This is wrong. Have you not been watching the news? This is spreading everywhere like a wildfire. And you cannot see how you and your fellow travellers are the architects of all this shit? I am surprised.

"Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people."
Yes, that quote was more of a general principle of how people should live their lives. It does not imply that strong minds never discuss events nor people else that would be a logical fallacy (faulty generalization). You would know that if you paid attention or went to the right classes instead of trying to stab me in the back (if that is the case since people have attempted that in the past; otherwise I apologize for my assumptions). In times like these you have to fight them with their own methods, else you lose. A public shame list would not result in 'weak minds discussing people' which is not what was meant with that quote.
The price seems to have somewhat recovered. Huobi seems to be temporarily closed.
Update: I'm just pointing out that you are losing your cool. I thought you might want to know that.
I'm not and I've explained why. People seem to misunderstand this quote with a logical fallacy. I'm just getting tired and will not passively stand aside and watch this.

"Raise the block size!" they said. "We have consensus!" they said. "Market is going to rally around big blocks" they said. welp Your tears are delicious. I saw you rage tweeting BitFury earlier... No matter, "socioeconomic consensus" doesn't need miners... amirite? The tide is turning against the Blockstream takeover. Can't say I didn't try to warn you. You've been bootlicking the wrong powers. Bitcoin routes around attempts to steer and control it, about time you learned that. The control you believed they possessed is slipping like sand out of a clenched and mailed fist. I'm salivating about buying up a piece of Mircea's suicide short this spring. I would try to buy some of your rage dumping too... but your join date probably makes that goal moot. Blockstream Core... #REKT brg44 is wondering where it all went so wrong. MP said it would be different. But, yeah, I got a kick out of his poutrage tweets.

Found this on bitcoinmarkets (seem to be one of the more reasonable social media sources save buttcoin) [–]DesertRainBullish 24 points 47 minutes ago What I've learned today from the Bitcoin Classic slack:
Bitcoin Classic seems all but a sure thing. All they need is for F2pool to give their support, and over 75% of the mining power will be accounted for. The BC devs are on good terms with Wang Chun from F2pool (because they are diplomatic, unlike Mike Hearn who repeatedly gave China the middle finger) and are listening to his one point of feedback, which is a logical one - and that is to base any increase in max block size on block height rather than time. BC may or may not include that change in the first release, and Wang Chun will probably come along either way.
We could see a release in as soon as 2 weeks, but the devs don't want to rush this.
After the release, it will take a minimum of 5 weeks for the first larger block to be mined.
This FUD is temporary. Now is a good time to buy IMO, but the next few weeks could be bumpy. If I wasn't already at my max BTC holdings I'd be averaging in more as we speak. From what I can tell BitcoinClassic has 50% commitment and they're about to add another 23 ...

"Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people." Lauda's just worried now that it appears he's been bootlicking all the petty tyrants and would-be technocrats that have impeded Bitcoin's destiny. The internet remembers. The tide is turning tho, the free market incentives upon which Bitcoin was built might just work... BitFury, Bitmain, BW, KnC have taken the gloves off and are asserting their right of vote by hashrate. Wonder who's next? Makes me more bullish than ever for the long term. Short term, it's gonna be a little messy, lots of rage dumping and gnashing of teeth. When we emerge at the other end of the tunnel though... it may turn out to be a glorious spring day, with the summer halving right around the corner

It's from Eleanor Roosevelt It looks like it is widely attributed to both of them but the Eleanor Roosevelt quote uses "Great minds" instead of "Strong minds". I think Socrates has a few years on her though.

Just with Gavin and two, three others we wont be able to move on, we have to integrate them into the eventual 2MB version. If they fail to build peace it will get very difficult...

Still an open source project, they are welcome to contribute to Classic, or even update Core to be compliant with the network consensus. If any of them #ragequit and refuse to work with network consensus because they can't have it all their way, we're better off without them.

I thought after XT altcoin fork got rekt you're planning the next one - the BitcoinClassic fork. XT was 8MB now, going to 8GB over 20 years... miners said "no way", and with solid reasoning. Additionally, dictatorship by Mike Hearn was undesirable to them and me as well. Classic is 2MB in 2016, growing to 4MB in 2018. This is exactly what miners wanted, and half of the hashrate has already signed on to that vision. Garzik, Gavin, and Toomim listening to miners, businesses, and the community for direction is far from a Hearn dictatorship. Drawing an equivalence between the two just demonstrates your ignorance of the situation. You are sticking to the Blockstream Core side of the fork... I asked you how you plan to do that with less than 25% of the hashrate of Classic.

So Lauda, how much code have you contributed to Bitcoin? How long have you been involved with it? In short, what makes you the authority on Bitcoin, as opposed to Mike?
The amount of my contributions are irrelevant nor would I disclose my contributions; not to you nor anyone else at this moment. Translation: I think you need WordPerfect to open .cpp files, not sure. Would never straight-up say "I don't code" tho, because there's something wrong with me. I'd rather be seen as a batshit paranoiac than a clueless buffoon that I am. I'm not an authority; I'm just someone who's trying to help Bitcoin and certainly not someone who was bought off by banks and backstabbed everyone. Stop defending him, he does not deserve it.
Translation: I'll insinuate that people far more knowledgeable than I are lying because they're "bought off by banks" to "backstab everyone." Because I'm being paid off by theymos to think that. And who knows who theymos is paid by, that's above my station.
