AFAIK he's the creator of Litecoin, isn't he? If it's true it really matters. Imagine Satoshi coming back to defeat Jihan-Ver evil empire?

Yeah, but... he took the Bitcoin codebase and literally changed a few config settings, gave it a new name, and launched it as Litecoin. All in about a weekend (by his own admission). It was a pet project.

I mean the guy is smart, sure, but you really want to equate that effort with the genius that is Satoshi?

Now I have a wallet with something like ~60 LTC left, and I'm too lazy to even sync it with the network, lol.

You can send them to an exchange without syncing, provided your wallet is already synced enough to see its received your litecoins. Dump them for Bitcoin, you would get over a Bitcoin for them, and if you keep that Bitcoin for ten years it might be worth a million dollars.

Just for fun I took your advice, traded half of them at $45/ltc. Got 0.55 btc out of it, at least that's something to add to my bitcoin stash. May trade the other half if ltc rises any further. With this market as crazy as it has been, wouldn't surprised if ltc hit triple digits. Just so stupid.

well yeah but the news is several days old and we already know what their development road map looks like anyway.

it's positive. not earth shattering.

litecoin pump was signalled long before Lee's announcement

Only $15 until his goal. Doesn't sound a fantastic rise or unplausible at all, but I'll retweet just in case.

As much as I share the happy sentiment that the "chikun has arisen" we should probably keep the topic on Bitcoin here. adamstgBit's will have to spend all day deleting posts if it gets more out of hand.  Cheesy

Oh. Guess I wasn't paying attention. Does he have a new account? Anyhow, the forum mods still delete off-topic posts. Thanks for pointing it out.

Some think that Killerpotleaf is Adam's new account. There's nothing that I know of that definitely links the two accounts, but Killerpotleaf does share Adam's sense of humour.

AFAIK, the last time Killerpotleaf posted anything was a night in which he went full retard posting *lots* of memes about an incoming huge hapening. A couple days later the biggest Bitcoin pump started. I want to think he meant a huge PUMP was going to happen and not the opposite. It would be sad if he sold thinking a huge dump was going to happen.

This is outstanding and interesting. Despite the fact that the capital market are closed for the weekend the price of bitcoin rise from 2552$ to 2662$.  Could this be the work of a couple of Japan’s iconic and popular capsule hotels which now accept bitcoin?

My working theory on weekend 'pumps' are that's when real people who use bitcoin create the real demand. On-line casinos ramp-up on weekends, potheads hit the dark net markets, escorts on craig's list get busy on business time and ex-pat slave workers get their one day weekend to send money back home using bitcoin remittances. Humans get their wallets out on the weekends, this is not news to anyone with half a clue.

Mostly on-line trading speculators are pretty dumb about what actually drives their respective markets, bitcoin doesn't appear to be any different.

Bitcoin has been on a good roll in the last couple of months, I'd say since late last year...

It's great to see, and hope the uptrend keeps going. It did retreat a little late this week but it's going back up nicely.

People hedging that the issue is going to be resolved end of July and that we are moving quickly towards a non-fork solution. Optimism and pessimism tugging at bitcoin. Optimists have more control because FOMO strength is very strong last 6 months and getting stronger. Bitcoin showing power of its brand and strength of its non-technical user base.

Yes, bitcoin does bring smile into peoples face this year and it all started with Saxo Bank prediction last year. Nevertheless, the price is now down by 9$ but it all good cause every business must accept a little debt in other to be success.

Yes, I was expecting $1800 at most until August but things turned to be much better than expected and with no big pump, until now. And the scalability and fork discussion coming to an end is good, even if the effect turns out to be worse than Gox. Until the issue is solved, will be harder for Bitcoin and the cryptos in general grow, so for me whatever happens in August will be positive.

Hi everyone,

I want to ask something...

I am trying to understand And analyse the charts/price of bitcoin.
Sure i Did more research And watch all day the charts for my own.
Reading many topics for speculations what others also try to understand bitcoin.

But what i Dont understand is.. the price swings like now whats happening on (kraken).
We have a natural growth what Goes up, Ofcourse i understand also that this is bitcoin.
Many told me that this price going up And down like 1% - 15% on a price around €2400 is normal.
Yes Ofcourse its manupilation by big investers, But How is iT possible that iT can decline in 5 minutes
So much € if its growing natural in price.

Someone who can explain with details please beceause i want to understand And
Correct me if i am wrong Ofcourse i want to learn about bitcoin.

Thank you for aswering about what i said.
