Please excuse me. I've committed sacrilege, apostasy. I've profaned CORE name with my blasphemies. I've violated the holy rule of not speaking against your spiritual leaders! I'm sorry.
Seriously, could you show me where the disinformation is? And since core fills your mouth talking about decentralization, can you explain how the LN transactions will be processed in a decentralized way?
Actually you committeth a far greater crime. You have createth a newb troll account with < 50 posts (why is it always so??) and started concerning trolling in WO in a condescending tone. Welcome to /ignore. Have a nice day. First of all, it is not a new account. It was created only two months after his. Second, i'm spanish speaking, so my participation in the community is not limited exclusively to this forum. Third, i own a starup around bitcoin, so my concerns are genuine and are pretty far from trolling. I discuss and think about bitcoin because its long-term development interests me. I have asked reasonable questions, about reasonable concerns, and all have been answered with stupidities. From my point of view, the troll is you.

So I'm heading off to thailand fully paid for by the free coins tomorrow, and I need a new suitcase. I'm thinking pink for easy visibility, but maybe an ugly yellow would work too. Thoughts?
I did a week in Thailand a few months ago. Great time, beautiful women. Cheap prices. You start to decide whether you want a nicer hotel for $45 or just go with a regular one for $25. Went to one of the islands and spent $200/night on a 5 star luxury hotel with a stairway to the pool right off of my patio on the ocean (sea?). I plan on retiring in January and will go live there. Got a beautiful gf out of the deal as well. Just watch out if she's a bar girl. They're fun, but almost never good marriage material.

Seriously guys, WTF is a NEO ?
According to the Shitcoin Gazette: NEO has recently gained some notoriety due to its collaboration with Chinese certificate authorities to map real-world assets using its smart contract technology. NEO has also signed partnership agreements with several startup companies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I thought he was Thai through and through.
I don't think so, but I don't know for sure. We PMd some, but I never met him. He had a brother that went to college in Midwest USA, not too far from me. I know he spent some time there, perhaps visiting. My sister sells grass-fed lamb meat at a farmer's market, he was interested in that, but did not make it. At the time I was playing live music at a small-time weekend jam, he was potentially going to stop by. I've quit that, but I played over 250 public gigs in 4 years. He posted a pic here of (presumably) himself, new wife significant other, and a little boy. He and the little boy definitely appeared Caucasian. This was about the time of the Gox ATH of $1200-ish, and he got the Lambo.

So naturally my first thought was, "Well then what's the point of ETH then if it's not going to be universally accepted?" The article also highlighted that NEO had some improved technologies and updates like sharding and concurrency that even ETH doesn't have yet. Kinda like an Ethereum 2.0. Not that I'm interested. I'm wondering if it's even open source.... or in readable English...

I wonder when Lightning will finally be implemented. It'll probably be the last piece of the puzzle and that could make price rise a little bit. As of now it's just SW, which is nice as it is, but Lightning will be the real kicker. Not the end-all, but it helps futureproof Bitcoin and is a temporary scaling solution that's at the very least better than what we have now.

Back to the source ... http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-09/tom-lee-bitcoin-will-be-best-performing-asset-through-year-end“The supply of bitcoin is starting to slow. Within the next 2-3 years the number of coins discovered or mined or rewarded will be slower than the amount of gold discovered, so bitcoin will be a rarer unit than gold.”
“There’s $7.5 trillion worth of gold out there, so gold dwarfs the currency in circulation, and if bitcoin captures just five percent of that alternative currency, it could fetch as much as $25,000 to $50,000 a share.” oh and this, too ... “We did a study and published it in early July…[bitcoin] has a lot of characteristics that are similar to gold and will ultimately make it attractive as an alternative currency. It’s a good store of value. The encryption and the distributed ledger not only act as a means of protection, but it actually has an industrial use that could be replacing a traditional payment platform.”

But then there are still MSM articles like this, the mother of all negative articles I've seen in a long time. This one comes from thestreet.com: Bitcoin Mania Setting Up for Greatest Financial Crash in 400 Yearshttps://www.thestreet.com/story/14261430/1/bitcoin-mania-setting-up-for-greatest-financial-crash-in-400-years.html?puc=_htmlttt_pla5&cm_ven=EMAIL_htmlttt&tstmem=64537498&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=TTEN&utm_term=Bitcoin+Mania+Setting+Up+for+Greatest+Financial+Crash+in+400+YearsCheck out the very last paragraph: "This time, the bitcoin mania, which has dwarfed even the Tulip Bulb lunacy, should become the posterchild graduate school case study for not only finance, but also psychology, sociology, and perhaps other disciplines. Ironically, for lacking discipline!
Friends don't let friends hold bitcoin below $2,900, the line in the sand of sell-stop protection. Otherwise, in the near future, one could be wishing they'd sold this $3,500 zone, as bitcoin breaks under $35, with growing potential for $3.50."Those mthrfkrs over at The Street absolutely HATE Bitcoin, especially Jim Kramer and his former crony Stephanie Link. Because they're all in bed with the russian mafia-backed sleazy corporate Wallstreet scam artists, and Bitcoin is a direct threat to their entire racket. Never forget (from 2014): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kEySHOd4JU

No, not a bar girl. She was actually my tour guide. We've met up a few times since. She's at my home right now cooking me some kick ass thai food. And no girl is marriage material for me. She may be great...but not half of my bitcoins great. The only way I would get married is some sort of tax break or if I'm in the old age home and they give me a special dessert with my dinner when you get married.

Why would you live in an old age home when you could afford to hire and fire your own caregivers? Enjoy life. Meet new people. Travel. Be the boss, not an inmate. Marriage is a great institution, if you want to live in an institution. I'm too old for that.

What percentage does 2x need in order to lock in? and when will we know if its likely or not.
That seems to be part of the problem is that some of the likely disingenuous big blocker nujobs are spreading misinformation to suggest that it is already locked in merely from the NYA and signaling of segwit2x intention... which does not have any actual lock in vehicle. Also if it has 90% support or so, will core still forge on with their non 2x chain?.
who says that it has 90% support? You talking about segwit2x "intention?" segwit2x intention does not seem to mean anything or have any implementation mechanisms. I thought everything was great after the BCH split went smoothly and we were finished with this uncertainty but no such luck.
Maybe "everything" is not great, but right now, bitcoin remains BULLISH AS FUCK.

That idiot is more stupid and butthurt than professor Bitkorn. You really need to be delusional or have ulterior motives to write/predict something like that. I'll buy all your Bitcoin at $3.5 per piece.
Meanwhile, the price gif has been updated and future proofed:

For fork's sake! Bitcoin Core braces for another cryptocurrency split: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/08/08/bitcoin_core_fork_cryptocurrency/"This is basically a sign from Bitcoin Core that they do not regard SegWit2x as being the real Bitcoin," explained Ryan X. Charles, CEO of Yours.org, in a YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep4HtGgOdjw. "...This all but assures there will be another split when SegWit2x occurs." Yeah, this time chinese miners will get rekt mining 2x bitcoin with declining price to 200$ and below. BTC brand is reserved for bitcoin core, so it will be the real bitcoin for some at least. The problem is that this contentious split will scare most ot the traders and they will start panic selling down to 40-50% from the ATH. At least this what happened many times this year. But this is just the beginnig of the drama. Core dev's are planning for a change of POW (asic resistent of course), so that they will enforce the new version of core's software to work even if 100% of the pools are mining 2x bitcoin. If that scenario happens, I would expect a further price plummeting. Yeah... Fuck!!!!!!! I expect BTC's prices to plummet somewhere into the $4800 to $6800 price territory...
