So I guess you are out and on the sideline then?

I'm in cash only with my trading stash (5% of my savings -who are still in BTC).
I won't pick any bottom higher that 4K.
Is not a little high?

maybe low 3000s is a better target:

The last pages are full of political garbage... I had to scroll 5 pages to find a single post about bitcoin.  Shocked Where are the moderators/owner? It never has been so bad before...

I believe the thread is 'unmoderated' now? er...or so I thought (likely I'm wrong) Sad

I've been pretty quiet here lately, but the thread is still moderated, albeit lightly. If I were to delete every OT post, at least 70% of this thread would be gone.

Thanks IF.... I think that you have been able to largely keep the historical sentiment of this thread with whatever you have been doing (or not doing)..

Not that I could argue with spongebob, but the thing is a good idea, we are a bit underestimating it, according to myself Smiley
But apparently the dump is actually due to a prince in saudi arabia saying something bad?!?

Good luck with that.  I have not yet seen the trend change, merely because we are pausing at the top for a while.... That is not unusual and does not necessitate any kind of significant correction of 40% or 50%, even though one may come, but 20% would be more reasonable, ... even though in the end, anything is fair game in bitcoinlandia... .

Lol @ his critique:

It's not much for the TA. It's the forking attacks, the FUD and announced terrorist crackdowns by TPTB ( https://www.coindesk.com/jeff-sessions-bitcoin-use-is-a-big-problem/ ), it's for the technical weak points of BTC (a hundred billions $ project kept alive by some voluntary full node runners? seriously?), and the fact that ultimately it's backed only by faith while every day new better and improved -and cheap- coins are made.

All this is telling me to not bet the farm on BTC, even if I'm still >80% in it.

I expect that BTC has a few more pumps to realize, during which I plan to diversify at increasing rate (and I have been unloading gradually since 1K). Beyond that I have no certainties.

What I like about BTG is the algorithm change. What I understood is that the algo change makes mining more decentral, it's possible to mine with GPU. I wish mining in bitcoin would be more decentral. Just look at this bch/b2x madness which is backed up by a lot of hashing power.

I also like the free money I get from selling this new shitcoin Smiley

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I missed yesterday (too much tequila Saturday night) but I see I didn't miss much.

No new ATHs since Saturday (the day before yesterday) with a lot of bouncing up and down in the $5.6-$6.2 range... currently $5807UDS/$7348CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

While there was no new ATH, there was also no dip deep enough for me to buy. The furthest it went down ($5.6k) is still $500 higher than where I bought 5 days ago.

Meanwhile AltCash is down a tiny bit again... currently $315USD/$398CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Seems there's a little indecision as we head toward the AltGold fork. As always it's a great time to hold.
___

Sometimes this place cracks me up. All the Chicken Little clucking and panicking (or should I say kwukking) over a little bit of Bitcoin's famous volatility.

Jeezuz. Calm down.  Roll Eyes

According to Chris Ellis Bitfinex is going to support the Bgold split!
Official announcements coming soon.
Kraken seems to consider it.
So let's see how this will play the next days and if it will effect the price of Bitcoin.
Dump the alt and hold more corn I say!!!  Grin
