are we rich yet?? All kidding aside, how many millions are enough for a lifetime near age 50 ? I mean, I'm sitting on a huge theoretical pile of "Fuck You" money, and thinking of starting to tell some people "Fuck You" at these prices north of $6k USD... Go off and become a professional harmonica player for the rest of my natural life... really depends where you live. I´d say 3 should do it. and yes: live your dreams. bitcoin makes it possible. congrats. well done. 3 million? With 200 000 euros, at 6% yearly interest rate (stock market), this gives a yearly interest of 12 000 euros. This is actually the same as my yearly expenses. So i could stop working right then. With 400 000 euros, at 6% yearly interest rate, that is 24 000 euros per year. 2000 per month. Double of what i am spending now. So that would be very comfortable living. (+ another 10k yearly to spend from 70-110 years old so i spend everything) With 500 000 i would have 100k to burn in addition. btc x3 please in next 10 years Now, to buy useless status symbols, i am much too greedy for that. Hm. Perhaps it's not so useless for the women. But will buy plastic surgery instead.

Nope you can generate 21M in volume just with a single BCH going back and forth 21M times. There's no need for huge stashes. Plus exchanges can always generate volume out of thin air and they don't need to have coins to back it up on paper. Look at OKcoin and whoboi volumes the day the hammer on wash trades came down
1 Coin going back and forth 21 M times? Is that really what is going on? What sucker is that dumb to fall for that kind of bullshit? Are the Koreans on Bithumb really that gullible? They are at least making the amounts vary a little bit? Right? Otherwise it looks like typical Yobit fake volume.

What's going on? why does price skyrocket with no news?
Been sleeping off a night shift so I didn't see this until now but it seems to coincide with the increase in value: edit: here's some of the story from cointelegraph - 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the most important conference in China this year, ended on Oct. 24. With the end of the conference, some temporary regulations and policies are canceled as well. Among the regulations, the shutdown of Bitcoin trading in China might be one.
On Oct. 28 ZB.com, which is a new cryptocurrency trading platform, announced that all trading functionality will be available from Nov. 1. Users can sign up for accounts and deposit now.
The platform claims that people all over the world, including those in mainland China, can exchange and trade on the platform. The languages of the website are Chinese and English. However, it’s too soon to state that the regulation toward Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is invalid. Maybe the platform will be closed by the government soon. Nevertheless, there are also people saying that the Chinese government is behind the platform.
Even in absentia they can still mess with the Bitcoin!

I doubt it's a Chinese based exchange. The domain name ZB.com was anonymously registered through godaddy by DomainsByProxy.com. https://uk.godaddy.com/whois/results.aspx?domain=zb.comIf it was Chinese registered it would be registered through a Chinese domain name service. Godaddy is USA based. However comparitech says that domain can be accessed in China, so the Chinese won't need to use a VPN to access it. https://www.comparitech.com/privacy-security-tools/blockedinchina/

Now, to buy useless status symbols, i am much too greedy for that. Hm. Perhaps it's not so useless for the women. But will buy plastic surgery instead. The calculations presented need to take inflation into account. Also, the stock market can not only fall short of your annualised returns, but destroy your wealth. I do think $3 million is excessive for someone around 50 though. I'd have thought $1 mil was more than sufficient to retire.

I think the lambo memes are reserved for the ETH or ALT thread now. I am pretty sure that some of us can afford Bugatti by now...
As for the Bithumb BCH pump, $1 billion trade volume on one exchange in less than 24 hours and 2.2 million BCH traded is fishy as heck. I am not sure that there is even 2.2 million BTC out there on the exchanges and not sitting in some cold storage/wallets/wallet-service-providers or simply lost. It reminds me of OKCoin shenanigan. Though they do have those chaebol kids in South Korea, who are even more outrageous than those "fuerdai/guanerdai" in China.

I wouldn't buy a Lambo even if I had $1 billion. I never liked these types of cars, or their drivers (usually)... I would REALLY like to have this though: You and me both, my friend. Don't own one yet, but I did buy/hodel the stock @ $37.00 .(lucky guess tbh) My best investment apart from hodeling you know what. BTC

Buffett is also a hypocrite. Slams precious metals as being useless (and not a value producing asset), then takes one of the biggest Silver long positions in history back in the late 90's.
