Kids should be formed and conformed and built and not given free range or financial freedom until they achieve those formative objectives..... There you go, and perhaps you heard it here, first?
No, I've heard it before. However, the idea that every person should be beholden to a lowest common denominator, when their individual capabilities and maturity is otherwise up to the task, smacks of the great social utopian interference. Ultimately dehumanizing of everyone. Kids cannot be 'formed and conformed' without having them stretch their capabilities and responsibilities. Some are ready sooner than others. And entrusting them with such accelerates their proper development. Blanket statements are folly. That is all.

All I know for sure is, over the last few years, GLD has been the single worst performing asset in my portfolio.
Even Mooncoin probably did better than Gold. It seems utterly dead. haha not, I might even have some moon coins somewhere

My eleven year old daughter says hi to you all. She is very satisfied with the gains her bitcoin made today.
Wow! So lucky to be 11 years old and on the ground floor of Bitcoin. Congratulations.

I hope you still holding Gold as it is to rise very soon (my opinion nearest 10 months we'll see really great rising). And it is also good to keep Silver, because it's more undervalued than gold.

Surely gold or any other traditional investments didn't have the ROI of BTC but...... maybe it contributed to the ROI of your Bitcoin stash.... How? Well, once you already have extracted/diversified enough into other assets (like gold) that you feel financially safe you can let your BTC roll without that much care than if you didn't. My point is stable (bad performing) assets are another piece in the puzzle of financial safety. Or at least that's what I tend to think, but I like to hear more opinions about it.
Huh ? Wha ? The only way I'm going to get any "contribution" to my financials from liquidating my GLD holdings, will be a deduction to offset capital gains. If an asset performs as badly as GLD has, for as long as it has, my strategy is to put it into something more aggressive. I'll be liquidating my GLD holdings this year, and reinvesting. Any investment not likely to pull in greater than 8% a year bores me. I've tried to be "responsible" by holding GLD for as long as I have on principle, but, fuck it. Life is too short. Yes, but still... . I kicked half of GLD in May and I am happy that now I do not have to worry about the return of GLD.

An 11 year old should not have full title to bitcoin that was "given" to her.
You gotta build character in her first...
Otherwise, she become SPOILT BRATT, if she already NOT one.
Jaysus, JJG - tend to your own garden, willya? I know eight nine year olds with responsible full discretion over their Bitcoin. Hell, my granddaughters already have liquid assets larger than the average adult. Thanks to Bitcoin https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2014/02/04/cfed-f04.htmlHahaahahahahaha... One spoilt bratt might not recognize another spoilt bratt, then. I have the right to provide my opinion, which I did. Kids should be formed and conformed and built and not given free range or financial freedom until they achieve those formative objectives..... There you go, and perhaps you heard it here, first? Sounds like you, contrarily, would like to screw up the whole world with gifting to kids and also fucking around with stupid-ass renegade forks too, while acting as if they are the be all cure all to bitcoin's supposedly imagined woes. It is my opinion, and I dont have any kids but was once one of those, that the sooner they learn the concepts of money, saving, etc the better. It would be way better to give the kids some (very limited) money so that they learn to spend it wisely in whatever they want/need than just buy them almost everything they ask for (as many parents irresponsibly do). Learning money is a limited resource (and how to manage it) since their childhood is one of the most useful lessons they can learn for their entire life. And the next lesson should be to start saving (even if ridiculous amounts) around 10 years old for their entire life. Investing and the power of compounding interest should be learned by 15. Any mistakes they make at those ages will be very "cheap" lessons in comparison to later in their life... and they won't ever forget about it.

There is something behind the scene happening to gold and silver for several years. China has been buying gold for 3 years, JP morgan has been buying silver for 5 years. S&P 500 is overheated as never. Wait, don't sell it! Whales want all the minor fish to come out of precious metals. China is going to implement gold-backed yuan very soon. And China will not want gold to be cheap. Just hold it, bro, be patient

You are the only guy in the planet to write about crashing gold and silver in bitcoin forums. How many accounts do you have? 100, 1000, 1 000 000? Do you believe you can fool anyone to buy so that you are not the only loser?
