A 15 meter boat is Too Damn Big. If you can't handle it on your own, in a stiff breeze, don't even bother. If a 30 footer is too small for your crew, then better to get two boats instead.
See that's what I'm talking about. That sounds like a yes vote for a new thread! It seems like there are a surprising number of people here who are interested in yachts/boats. Once you get into boating, everybody knows, it is never big enough. You'll always need a bigger boat. No. This is totally false. Once the boats get to a certain size I would definitely stop thinking about bigger boats and start thinking about spacecraft.

You should never buy a $20k boat which is 20 years old though. That's a death trap. Ahem. I did that, except it was 40 years old. It is also extremely seaworthy. Was it wood or fiber? Wood can be fixed easily. Fiberglass can get fixed too but harder. A 40 year old fiber boat can be extremely dangerous because of osmosis unless it was maintained well during all those years. If the owner checked the levels of osmosis constantly and took precautions, yes, it can survive without any damage. The stuff on the boat will be old too. Sailing clothes, metal pieces, ropes... They all fall apart in time even if you don't use them because of fckn salty air. You'll need to replace them eventually. I'd prefer to get them all new without taking any risks. But that's just me. A 15 meter boat is Too Damn Big. If you can't handle it on your own, in a stiff breeze, don't even bother. If a 30 footer is too small for your crew, then better to get two boats instead.

Stuff gets replaced and fixed over time. Quote the second, what you want is the smallest boat you can tolerate. This is newbie sailing 100.5.

My point is when you buy a used boat,, not just the boat will be used but every thing you mentioned on (and in) it will also be. If you are going to replace these stuff soon, why not get all new in the first place? Instead of buying an old boat and making it to look like new, just buy the new one.

It's like a car, the second you turn it on its value gets cut in half.

Any analysis regarding whether bitcoin is gonna do a long bear market for 1-2 years, or is going to go sideways and/or upwards from here?
It will not be a long Bear market for 1-2 more years. Could we have another "bearish" month or two...yes. Imho, either Bitcoin grows to become a global asset class or something else will replace it that can. By growth I mean reaching and sustaining a value where institutional and sovereign entities have enough self-interest to support it. Once a layer for truly anonymous transactions is developed, tested and deployed for bitcoin, it will go ballistic. I hate to say it as it is so cliche but we are at a critical junction. The balancing act of growing fast enough to retain current users and promote new adoption and not growing so fast as to be perceived as a threat to said entities is a tight-rope walking act of incredible complexity. My best guess is it will fall somewhere between the orange and yellow lines I have illustrated. Stepping back and looking at longer times frames indicates we are right on the edge of a substantial growth period. My recent frustration with short term price action has made me realize that I am emotionally over invested. Time for a break and to do some sailing. dyor and ymmv. Peace. Does anyone know what the current status of Confidential Transactions is?

Next bull run, people talk about what helicopter on their yacht’s flight deck.
And the one after that people will talk about booking their first space rocket ship tourist flight. stop thinking small. owning planets are where its at. i want Saturn. lots of moons to build on. plus, you know, the rings are sooo cool. You're not thinking big enough. Pay to have a new planet custom built to your specifications. Why buy an existing old one when you can have a new one built exactly the way you want it? You would get even cooler rings than Saturn's with more moons.

It's basically in the early research phase, but possible within the next five years, maybe.

.... LOOK AT THE FUCKING BOAT BEFORE YOU BUY IT. You decide if it is worth the price or not.
The multibit dev lived on a boat. After reading this post I decided to view any boat at the coldest point of the winter if I ever decide to buy one. What seems great in the summer might be shit in the winter. MultiBit HQ is a narrowboat moored on a canal in the UK. Costs are minimized ruthlessly. It is really peaceful living on a narrowboat - plenty of time to get work done.
But this time of year it is a bit ridiculous. There is a cold snap in the UK at the moment. Overnight temp last night was -6 Celcius. The boat does have central heating but you don't run it all the time and not overnight (because of electricity and diesel use). So last night I am in my full body sleeping outfit, in a down sleeping bag, under a duvet, with a throw. Warm and toasty but it is a bit chilly cleaning your teeth in the morning when the temp in the bathroom is exactly 0 Celcius.
Like your pet cat, I always find the warmest spot on the boat so am currently typing on my laptop by the big radiator in the lounge. I am just a ball of insulation.
I will be glad when it is spring. I think that is the best time on a boat.

You don't boat in the winter. Who wants a boat when one of these are in the water? A shark thinking it's a whale?! I would rather buy one of these shirts and call it a day. https://hodlattire.com/collections/t-shirts

good points. i need to adjust my thinking. ok i will go for all the ringed planets in known space. then ill branch out to others once theyre all mine. but. as mentioned, might be faster to just buy/build plain planets and build my own ring systems for them. hmmmm.

Great interview. You could tell he was scared to come right and say what he was thinking, which was this: "My fellow brothers and sisters, get your head out of your ass, get you mind out of the past, let go of the plantation. Quit idolizing successful black people and putting them on a pedestal that you can never obtain. Let go of antiquated and false ideologies and limitations that are supposedly holding you back. Free your mind, and you will be successful at anything you put your mind and effort toward."

It was a therapy session with all these things he is saying about dragon power and riding on the back of dragons with Trump recently coming out he had a way to let out what was on his mind. Also the fact he has an album coming out about poop So any exposure good or bad is the reason of this. If he is mentioning bitcoin it is only a bonus. Any talk about it from someone with a good or bad reputation but with a large following is only a plus for getting it more mainstream. Just like Dennis Rodman saying he ended the Korean war with potcoin good it noticed by the news media.
