I am astonished by the stubbornnes of Jihan Wu. Yesterday he and his sockpuppets pumped bcash 10% with the hope for better mining rewards. For several hours they got it, but after a small percentages of miners switched to bcash, the difficulty rose and again their reward is equal to that of mining Bitcoin. How many attempts he needs, to understand that if Bitcoin is not rising there is NO way bcash should be more profitable. In 1.5 days is the next Bitcoin mining adjustment. A new 12% increase in difficulty is expected (https://diff.cryptothis.com/), which means more than 0.6$ loss for an s9 (daily revenue dropping from 6.2 to 5.6$ at the current price). With that pace in 2-3 monts the revenue will drop to 2-3$, not to mention the expenses for electricity and rent, which vary from 1.7$ and 4$. I've been through this situation many times mining eth, zec, etc. Each period, when the mining profit drops to cents, is followed by a period of an extreme increase of the price. The explanation is clear - the miners enter a hibernation state of holding (i.e. not selling everything they mine with a currently small profit). If the rigs are on a loss, they just stop them untill the next increase. Conclusion: The so called 'bear' period is at its end. I expect 2x-4x increase of the price in the coming 6 months/1 year.

I think you underestimate him; in terms of both his contribution to bitcoin and his actual understanding of the consensus mechanisms/mining.

but cool you made a meme

I do like Hayek's approach. Particularly apt since it looks like Sunday's once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for monetary reform in Switzerland will be voted down.

I remember one example where jews wanted to leave, but the country wanted then to stay. Ended with U.S. sanctions against the country.

Do you have a link?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refusenik
Check out the picture...

What? They built a Wall to stop ANYONE from leaving, that wasn't specifically targeted at Jews. Eastern Bloc under Stalin was one mass Political Purge as well. He was an equal opportunity piece of shit.

Quote
In addition to the Jews, broader categories included:

Other ethnicities, such as Volga Germans attempting to leave for Germany, Armenians wanting to join their diaspora, and Greeks forcibly removed by Stalin from Crimea and other southern lands to Siberia.
Members of persecuted religious groups, such as the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, Baptists and other Protestant groups, Russian Mennonites, and Jehovah's Witnesses.

A typical pretext to deny emigration was the real or the alleged association with state secrets..

That is directly from your link.

These periods of stability & non volatile times always make me happy. It’s nearly always the calm before the storm. People will be accumulating coins steadily, I predict we’ll enter a bullish period by mid August.

Today may be a bit bloody but I'm kind of expecting a spike to bring it back to $7600.

I'm thinking today is going to get a bit more bloodier. Tomorrow, all of the blood could form some sort of a bath. A bloodbath if you will.

Jokes aside I think we will see $7,300 today, and maybe the bears will battle the bulls at $7000 tomorrow... I think the bears will win though.

I really like the quotable statement he made @17:18 referring to the newbs that entered the market during the run up:

currently we are still above $ 7500, but tomorrow maybe we will reach $ 7300. I think we will not go down below $ 7000, we will go back up and will reach $ 8000.

I find way more probability that the moon landing and some of that crap about men going to the moon to be a lot less likely to be true than the nonsense that is spouted out about the earth being flat...

Oh       my     fucking      god
you've got to be shitting me dude....

I don't see what is controversial about my statement... which part of my statement is controversial?

my doubting of the moon landing or my confidence that the earth is not flat?

Oh I c what u did there.

I did not do anything beyond making a response to a previous post, and an attempted clarification of my posts.  Because of your own inner focused delusions, you seem to trying to read more into the situation than exists.  In other words, just stirring shit.

Different times words mean different things.

Fair enough, and put another way, words also have context.  Any of us can either misunderstand or be misunderstood if we attempt to suggest some universal meaning for words while we ignore or downplay context.

When I grew up and still when I/we (my peers) say fags we mean pansies as in no balls. I couldn't care less if you hump a log or a furry.

O.k.  Now you are getting into the motivation for your post in that you continue to outpour as self-absorbed, self-righteous and defensive about the earlier deletion of your post.

There is no necessity for you to attempt to defend your nonsense because Infofront has total discretion to have deleted your earlier post for reasons or for no reasons at all, within his own discretion.  Furthermore, after you whined about the post deletion, he chose to provide you with a public explanation in that he had considered that you had gone a bit too far in terms of your tone.  There seems no reason to continue to dwell upon the topic of your deleted post, except perhaps you should just move on.

Proper bottoming in this mini cycle demands that we go to $7,000 again, after which we should see an upwards wave to $9,000+

But of course I am too chicken to trade that scenario  Roll Eyes

So sayeth the Antanopolis.
...
"They came for the price. Make them stay for the principles."

Of course Antonopoulos has done great things for the public
awareness of Bitcoin. However, he is also busy shilling for Ethereum
and has even written a whole book on it:
https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Ethereum-Building-Smart-Contracts/dp/1491971940/

Quote
Ethereum has also spawned a rapidly growing ecosystem of software startups vying
to build decentralized applications, known as "dapps".

Except ICOs as a way to enrich the founders of the respective projects, Ethereum
has spawned jack shit.

I can´t take anyone seriously, who recommends newbies to stay in Bitcoin
for "the principles" while shilling Ethereum at the same time.

And don´t get me started on the sketchy Ethereum pre-sale.
A good read regarding the pre-sale is this Medium article:

There is no controversy for either of those things.
