BTC related question:

I geus were on a correction? From €66xx back to €63xx

Damn when are we going to explode upwards
Until 2030 it’s  just speculation and accumulation. The real shine and beauty will then come to full blossom.

What are you talking about?

First of all this is a BTC/USD tracking thread, so why are you citing BTC prices in terms of pounds?

And what's the common denominator among the three things you listed?  None are money.  All are based on artificial scarcity.  All are systems of control.

Long term rising support line at ~€6,000. Climbing at a little more than €200 per week.
Resistance around €6,800.
So probably 2-3 weeks, maximum, before something significant has to happen.

(I converted $ to € for you but not sure what 2-3 weeks is in European equivalent. Do you guys use metric or Unix time?)

2-3 weeks constitutes about half of our paid vacation. So that would be a couple of days in the US. Wink

No standard has been adopted.
USA 2-3 weeks =
UK 5-10 weeks
Spain 'Tomorrow'
Greece Never
Germany 2.5 weeks
Benelux Manchester United 2 Barcelona 3
Ireland Sure, soon now
Italy, Portugal, Poland After the holidays

no need from my point of view, as one way or another BTC price is not affected.

there is plenty of evidence around if you look for it. believing it is up to the individual. depends on ones technical understanding of the tech and your belief in the sources.

I think that part of my point is that moon landing and other topics such as the official story behind the twin tower and DC attacks of 9/11/2001, who was behind the JFK assassination and other topics have decently credible evidence on both sides.. There is almost NO decently credible evidence that the earth is flat.

ive seen a bit of the "fake moon landing" stuff. shadows in odd directions, flag staying horizontal, the rock with a prop number, camera button too small, such like that. all were debunked once you know the real reasons for such "discrepancies."

unless theres much more recent stuff to "prove" otherwise, the moon landing being real is a done deal for me.

btw i watched the 1st moon landing in a telescope with my dad in the back yard. cant say we saw much however Smiley

I think the Microsoft github angst is overblown.

I'm much more cynical. I've seen what happens when smaller left-coast companies get bought up by bigger left-coast fish, and shit turns retarded real fast (within two years).

Fuck... I retired early because I just couldn't fucking stand it anymore...

I'm with Bob. It's been the same ever since Hotmail.

I find way more probability that the moon landing and some of that crap about men going to the moon to be a lot less likely to be true than the nonsense that is spouted out about the earth being flat...

Oh       my     fucking      god
you've got to be shitting me dude....

I don't see what is controversial about my statement... which part of my statement is controversial?

my doubting of the moon landing or my confidence that the earth is not flat?

There is no controversy for either of those things.
Though one is moronic and the other obvious.
If you need to know which is which,I really can’t help you....

Great.  you present your ideaurers about what is possible or probable so clearly, sir.  And, I would rather not communicate in puzzles, anyhow.

Edit below:  Added another response to sirazimuth.

By the way, a faking of the moon landing is not even close to the same level of flat earth luny beliefs.

make up your mind Jay....

I am not saying anything that is inconsistent, unless you are merely misunderstanding what I am saying, which could be your seeming purposeful attempt to read me out of context.  A desire to pick a fight, rather than attempt to clarify... correct?   Roll Eyes

Great.

ok Jay I will clarify...

your statement and "I find way more probability that the moon landing and some of that crap about men going to the moon to be a lot less likely to be true than the nonsense that is spouted out about the earth being flat”

paraphrased....is you believe moon landings are less likely to be true than a flat earth....  amirite?

Exactly how am I taking that out of context or misunderstanding you?

Or did you misspeak and actually  mean that the moon landings are MORE likely to be true than a flat earth?

Your next statement .... quote "By the way, a faking of the moon landing is not even close to the same level of flat earth loony beliefs" unquote ...

is kind of silly because both positions are binary.  You either believe men landed on the moon or you don't. and you either believe the earth is flat or not.

There are no levels of lunacy.

Now I suppose you could take  the  loony position on the one (the moon landings were faked) and the obvious position(the earth is not flat.... duhhh) on the other,

but that would be analogous  to a Creationist who believes the Talking Snake,  Adam and Eve  bible story as totally factual but thinks The Noah’s Ark tale is complete bullshit.

When conspiracy deniers want to lump everyone together who :

1. only believe a theory that might have some plausibility, some actual credible evidence to validate/support it, and can see the MSM lies, inconsistencies and cover up (incidentally, these are the theories that years later get proven to have been true)

in with those who :

2. believe all conspiracies including the ones that are laughably ridiculous and insane, and have not even a shred of credible evidence to support it

+1WOmerit. Good article.

I always believed futures would kill bitcoin, and the graphs proved it, even with the bear market being inevitable.

But this article refutes it very well. Since bitcoin moves faster than gold, we should not worry too much.

Silver bugs never respect the lesson the Hunt brothers learned the hard way. If you want to diversify your portfolio buy gold. Silver is a poor store of value and will remain so while gold is not.
blablabla

I never promoted Ethereum in this thread and don't own any. Give a reference to a post where I did or apologize for your insults. I am surprised the moderators still allow you to post here since you call bitcoin a "shitcoin". You really deserve to be banned from the forum.

I went out there for a few days about 8 years ago and ended up staying 5 months. Lol

During this slow period in bitcoin's price, it is time to move forward again.

So sayeth the Antanopolis.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xIq0FdmsIA

I really like the quotable statement he made @17:18 referring to the newbs that entered the market during the run up:

Quote from: Andreas Antonopoulos
"They came for the price. Make them stay for the principles."

I.e., help educate them.

That is awesome. The manifesto should be required reading.

...

I did not do anything beyond making a response to a previous post, and an attempted clarification of my posts.  Because of your own inner focused delusions, you seem to trying to read more into the situation than exists.  In other words, just stirring shit....

Or just seeing ghosts as in the italicized. Tongue

I have been having a med balancing issue. Smiley

I'll take this opportunity to apologize for anyone that I may have offended, I sometimes fly off the handle, incoherently to others that do not have my context. Usually the lack of punctuation and run-ons are a dead giveaway. Tongue

....
So sayeth the Antanopolis.
...
"They came for the price. Make them stay for the principles."

Of course Antonopoulos has done great things for the public
awareness of Bitcoin. However, he is also busy shilling for Ethereum
and has even written a whole book on it:
https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Ethereum-Building-Smart-Contracts/dp/1491971940/

Quote
Ethereum has also spawned a rapidly growing ecosystem of software startups vying
to build decentralized applications, known as "dapps".

Except ICOs as a way to enrich the founders of the respective projects, Ethereum
has spawned jack shit.

I can´t take anyone seriously, who recommends newbies to stay in Bitcoin
for "the principles" while shilling Ethereum at the same time.

And don´t get me started on the sketchy Ethereum pre-sale.
A good read regarding the pre-sale is this Medium article:
https://medium.com/hasufl/ethereum-presale-dynamics-revisited-c1b70ac38448

And lets not forget the Principle of Immutability being paramount.

{image of anarchy choice redacted}

Overdue poll reset. Looks like the trolls, nazis, anarchists, big blockers, and beartards won.  Roll Eyes

I've been saying for a while that this forum needs a thread where nothing is off topic. That way off topic conversation would have a place to go. As it stands now, where do we go to shoot the shit with people who have the same interests as us but don't happen to want to talk specifically about that interest that we all have in common? I made such a thread once and the forum moderators killed it and so people use threads like this instead. /shrug

So many sites over the years have had great General discussion threads and they have all become such moderation nightmares that they have gone the way of the Dodo, in reality Anarchy does not work. Mob rule is close and you get and then you just get clicks that dogpile. Wink

@Anon136
That is to me an accurate chart on price manipulation which is definitely worth to be mentioned here on the WO. The Bart Simpson pattern became a thing and, trust me, I would love if it would cease.
So it goes now, there is not much to do but hey, after the third Bart pattern I started to take some profit and bought a bit more on the way down.
If they play, I will do that too.

To what do you attribute it? I mean more specifically than just "manipulation" generally.

Looking at that so-called "Bart Simpson" chart pattern, I don't really see the mystery. That is exactly what a trading market pattern would look like if you have:

a) major sideways wash trading
b) the float on exchanges being really thin
c) only one or a few whale market participants using large margin
d) volume being led by one or only a few exchanges

Which is the environment we are in right now. The whale is ready to rek anyone who takes up a sizable position in either direction. It could be the exchange owners themselves.

Agree!  Exchange owners are some of the largest and dirties whales around; they are more like Killer Whales acting solely on profit gouging!
