No one here gives a fuck about SV.

Correct, but we do care about possible reasons behind bitcoin's recent price drop.

CSW is an insane asshole, but I find it hilarious sometimes. Have you guys watched the video in which, when asked some random question about the hashwar, he decides to start showing some wristwatches as if that meant something? Surreal. #proofofwatch

This is probably the best CSW video EVER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMKBd0x6TNA

$6k support was always going to break.  Yes the Bcash fork was the catalysts. But don’t read too much into it beyond that.  It was good timing for a scare campaign.  But they have played that card and now they are irrelevant.

Whoever posted the link with screaming sun couple of days ago thank you ! I didnt even know this series existed. downloaded first season and just now finished watching 6th episode - it fit very well with today's market carnage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evYxx8qjZFs

Cry fucking idiots still holding these worthless digital beanie babies.  IT will continue to crash, are you idiots just going to hold to zero?
I will not just hold. I will keep buying all the way down :p

off to bed soon; im giving it 60% chance that when i come in the morning, price will be back above 4k finex. if we continue down, ~3250 is my next buy area.

O.k?  Why we use finex as our BTC price reference point?

If it is not above $4k bitstamp, then why would it matter if it above $4k finex?

I guess being above $4k finex would assume being above $3,800 bitstamp or maybe $3850-ish?
coz i bought it there; yes that would be about 3800 stamp. but it didnt come back overnigt..
..so, what about some end-of-the-weekend pump? :p

So far the Sunday pump (or end of the weekend pump) has not been bad, but surely, we are still in real threat area that the reversal is NOT real.. and we still have not gotten up high enough to get some confidence that the "bottom" might be in.

But I agree with your overall sentiment, that there needs to become some distance between the current price and the most recent low before we might begin to feel a bit of confidence.

which exchanges have troll boxes these days? I wouldn't mind checking out the comments to gauge the panic

This thread is pretty damned close to a troll box - especially during times of considerable BTC price action, and the past couple of weeks -- -seeming like... whoaza!!!!

This would open a Pandora's box, most definitely.
All talk about current inequality is just about numbers that could be attained one way or another.
Not so simple if you are essentially MADE genetically different.
For maximum publicity they started with the gene that is accessory to HIV (CCR5).
No active CCR5 present, no HIV.
Will it stop there? Of course, not.

Seven percent of Swedes have that mutation, it apparently protects from small pocks and cholera as well as HIV.

That's interesting since DNA tests of old skeletons from graves show that a plague almost wiped out the Scandinavian population at about the same time as the yamnaya culture entered Scandinavia and brought with them the bronze age and the family structure that we still have in the western world today. Maybe that plague was small pocks and the survivors had that gene mutation.
Just a thought.
The Chinese have a program for identifying the genes that gives you high IQ, I bet you that there already are babies in china with altered IQ genes.
But this will also open up for cosmetic gene surgery. The most sold beauty product in black Africa and the Indian subcontinent is skin bleaching creams, I bet that we will see babies on these continents with genetically altered skin tone really soon, and that's just the beginning.
Personally I'm all in favor of of it.

Btw I know it was a dead exchange but still, does anybody realize wex.nz (old btc-e) is down since 22/Nov?

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/wex/

R.I.P.

(when you say, trollbox, there is only one. btc-e, that's why i wanted to check and...)

They have been using a mirror site, so I would not call it dead, exactly yet... even though they have frozen a vast majority of withdrawals for about 5 months-ish

They lost the domain name.. You can find them at wex.link

But still not working/no withdrawal possible/no support/no nothing

I know that I am not always "on top" of things, and GoMaD beat me to it, by 20 hours.. but hey..

Hey, you seem to be taken an extraordinary gamble when you engage in what seems to be the opposite of logical, so of course, if the price ends up dropping below your sell price, then your gamble would pay off.  That does not make your practice of panic selling to be the most prudent, even if such practice pays off from time to time.

I think this uptrend is just temporary.

The next 10 days will be critical... it could crash again imho.

'Leaked' Fud?? Huh

The hashrate dropped by 20% in November alone. Some of that went into the hash war, but not all.

Considering the last price drop, it seems reasonable that some of the older inefficient hardware gets thrown out...

I say we just clone Bob over and over and make that our entire race.

It would be quite interesting undertaking to compare bitcoin hodlers/ mid-early investors (say, prior to 2015 or 16) to an average human population.
My expectation would be that there would be many interesting traits.
Something relating to risk taking (maybe even excessive risk), patience, stubbornness, etc.

As Jesse Livermore (or his alter ego) have said:

Quote
It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! It is no trick at all to be right on the market. You always find lots of early bulls in bull markets and early bears in bear markets. I've known many men who were right at exactly the right time, and began buying or selling stocks when prices were at the very level which should show the greatest profit. And their experience invariably matched mine--that is, they made no real money out of it. Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon.
Personality can be measured. If people are up for it, it would be interesting to take a rando online big five test and compare results.

I am doing some garbage cleaning on my shitcoins. You couldn't even imagine what kind of worthless shit I am still holding. Not significant amounts (more so at current prices) that I left hanging on some exchanges but still....

Anyway.... My question is... Anyone here has Iconomi (ICX)? If so, should I convert to eICN or just swap for ETH?

Thanks

The average height for males used to be around160 cm, if you look at the new teenagers the average is now 10cm taller than that. Lots of cancer though which makes it looks like it's just black market HGH given by the parents.

I wonder what China will look like when I get old. Lots of white tall highly intelligent HIV free chicks?
Damn I'm all for it.
