Is there any working easy to use Lightning Network wallet?
I want to see how it actually works in real life.
The last time I checked it was almost a year ago and it was nowhere ready for mainstream use.

How long before all miners turn off their machines, what then?

No one other than miners needs to give the remotest shit about mining. It's their problem, not ours.

If they can't cut it, someone else will be along who can. The absolute worst case is sluggishness in the chain for a while until difficulty drops make it profitable again.
Like this?

I understand that there are quite a few wallets available, some with a beautiful UI. But I haven’t investigated and tried myself yet. I believe there are a few lads here who know more.

Your explanation doesn't really make sense. Things like wind are created by pressure gradients. You're implying the same sort of event that creates wind but implying the other side has an infinitely lower pressure gradient that can't be filled to reach equilibrium.  If you're implying the entire Higg's field collapses in a row like dominos starting from that point, I guess it's theoretically possible if the Higg's field functions like a connected, uniform lattice, but I doubt it's that simple.

If said event did occur, I think it would behave similar to how black holes already do.  Most people cannot define the word time at all, but it's mostly measurement of motion relative to two or more objects.  If time theoretically stops inside of a black hole, then you can have no motion and thus no functional pressure gradient, and maybe your infinite pressure gradient (collapse of the Higg's field) would be contained by a black hole firewall.  A local, self-repairing function of the universe in other words that prevents full collapse.

what?

I will glady explain quantum field theory to you. Pm me with any questions you have.

We should defo make sure that it qualifies as a security , and shill it like madmen and promise people immense profits

Perhaps then we can all have our 100K party in the Ely State penitentiary - surely that is close enough to Vegas for it to count?

Yes, go to jail, do not collect $200, do not pass go. Lets do this.

Instead of waiting around drinking alcohol, we could make a WO altcoin, bring out an ico and everything...And drink alcohol. Who would be on board?

Count me in. I can do all the drinking.

Hold the fuck up. You will not be doing ALL the drinking. This is a team effort.

Btw. Isnt that funny that arthur is probaly the best earning person in crypto roach?  Grin

Do you not realise the lengths Yidisher will go to these days to disguise themselves?

If you take Arthur Hayes, take some letters away and add some new ones you wind up with - Chaim Wildenstein.

FACT.

And I've never seen him out in the rain or near strong streams of water.

But he also has the initials of Roach's biggest hero?!??

I wonder if there could be tax reasons for possibly concluding the dump before the start of the new year ?

Yes... for sure.  That is why prices dipped so stupendously in both December 2013 and December 2017.

You are definitely onto something, qwizzie....

Also, remember christmas shopping, too.    Wink

You know, when you're the last whale standing in a thin bear market, and you have lots of coins and $$$, I'm sure it's pretty easy to push the market around in any direction you want. For however long you want.

That direction only ends when that person or group decides it should, or gets mega squeezed.

They are just dangling there....its tempting no?

Well, it has to stop somewhere. One year ago Jihan Wu started a similar campain (flippening they called it). Aided by Rojer Ver and Craig Wright they dumped hundreds of thousands bitcoins and bought bcash driving it up to 3.5k$ on most exchanges and 9.5K$ on Coinbase. The documentation of the failed IPO shows that only Bitmain bought around 2mil bcash! Now, Wu gets what he deserved! Although he has 2mil SV now, so he can dump it to get some money to save his business from bankruptcy. Now, CW thinks he is a genious to sell his bitcoins and buy his shit. In 1 year SV will be less than 10$, while bitcoin will recover. Not only the manipulators are out of ammo, but most of the whales dumped in fear their bitcoins. What the market needs now is a nice recovery to 6K and then slowly building up to 20K and beyond. It may take some months or a couple of years, but it will happen!

Well good morning Bitcoinland.

Another day, yet another dip... currently $3303USD/$4390CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

I see Proudhon's here. Who's next? Kwukduck? Fonzie? NLC?

Must be getting fairly near to kaput-ulation.

Mmmm... coffee's ready.  Cool

You buying any time soon, Jimbo?

How you feeling Hairy?
Worried, concerned?

The price is tracking nicely to the model so far, albeit slightly ahead of schedule.  Am not in any rush and think that whatever range we settle at, we should be there for awhile.  The market needs time more than anything else.

In the very short term, we are due a bounce / bull trap lasting a couple of weeks.

Looking at it through a 10 year time horizon, this is an extraordinary opportunity.

So not particularly fussed.

I can wait 10 years if I have to but I was hoping I’d be pretty rich around 12 months after the next halvening.
I was close to being a millionaire GBP wise at the ATH (obviously that’s gone to shit now but I’ve sold nothing).

I was hoping to be 75% sold out of bitcoin in approx 2022 never having to even think about what I’m spending ever again.

10 years is a little long but I can wait.

This just seems a lot worse than the last long bear market as obviously I have a lot to lose this time.

I appreciate everything that you are saying here, including the possibility of being flexible on your timeline, which is definitely realistic to be flexible on your timeline (as long as you are not so old that you are going to be dying soon, and then your timeline is much shorter, and probably your investment into BTC should be more conservative, too).

Regarding "worse than last time," you seem to have identified the problem, which is your perception of worse than last time based on your assessment of your situation of having more to lose, but that does not seem to be a good way of assessing the situation.

Probably you need to either go back to the drawing table or to just reconsider aspects of your strategy, including a possibility (even if slim) that BTC prices could go to $1k before they bounce... in that regard, it seems that you should prepare yourself for such possibility of $1k-ish or lower (even if slim possibility) both psychologically and fiscally.

Consensys layoffs.

https://www.coindesk.com/consensys-confirms-layoffs-projecting-13-of-staff-at-startups-to-be-cut/amp#click=https://t.co/LPyLqEc6Ev

Starting to feel a bit capitulationish.

Still might need Consensys to be broken up entirely but it’s a start.

The more the ICO pumping robot ETH shills die the better.

No offence to those who believe in that stuff... but it's the freaking cancer of crypto and has been for years.

We knew the surgery to remove it and the chemo after would suck...

Here's some 7-up and a bendy straw.

Lie back down.

Ok, let's recapitulate. That first short squeeze/cover was easy. Next one is a bit harder but critical. We need to get over 3600...

For that we need to make our pet alpaca shitpost a little more and it is doable.

We need a volunteer to trick Proudhon. The volunteer must be JJG. C'on JJG, you can do it! Bury that mathafacka in walls of text!
