I would be very unhappy if my phone got stolen with all my crypto on it this wallet is not supposed to store large amounts. I think this should only be used like a old school fiat wallet. Exactly pointed that out as well in the french thread. Compatibility with some of the newest NFC payment terminals would be awesome. Like if the terminal could handle Visa & crypto.

We didn’t need an ETF to see the price close to $20,000 so I assume we won’t need one to touch the next ATH. Fuck the SEC & fuck authority. They fear the beast that bitcoin will become.
I hope you’re all buying whilst the price is this low gentlemen!
Now is definitely the time to buy. Think of it this way - Let’s say you have $10,000 in a fiat savings account. It will earn maybe 2% interest per year (if you’re lucky). There are good & bad times to buy bitcoin. Buying at what seems like the bottom or at least close to the bottom of a cycle after a new ATH it definitely a good time. Let’s say you put half of that $10,000 into bitcoin now. I think it’s safe to assume that you’re very, very likely to see that money outperform your fiat savings account by a big % 12-18 months from now. 2% of actual increase on top of the 10K, what country, planet are you from..... we have to pay for having a bank account, and probably the time will come we have to pay, to may save money on a/that bank account I am getting %3 (after taxes) for my usd here in Turkey. There are banks giving more than 4.5% for USD. 2.5% for Euro. One of few advantages living in a corrupted country. It is still a risky investment though i am quite happy with the returns especially for a shit investment like this. I am getting around 200 usd/month just from interest and buying crypto with it. Feels quite good. :d In 2017 if you bought BTC at $700 you had almost 3x profit. How is 4% interest better than that?!? In 2019 and 2020 BTC will make at least 5x profit starting with the current prices. So for me there is no point keeping deposits in banks for interest. I also had 4.5% interest but widthdrew all of it to buy bitcoins in the Summer of 2017. You did a good buy back Then ....

I would be very unhappy if my phone got stolen with all my crypto on it Presumably they’d be password protected & backed up to some sort of cloud? You could recover your coins then on a new phone? Be dumb to keep your main stash on your phone any way. Every day spending amounts would be cool though. Yes but again, it would be just as secured as the place your store you backup is. Also if you can only restore it in another samsung wallet, you are kinda hooked by samsung and have to buy a new ... samsung phone. not something i look forward to. I'd rather buy that crap bluetooth Ledger X. For the meanwhile I will wait for ledger to allow me to connect my ledger S to my phone via OTG. Just missing their ledger live app for android. Yeah, I only just got the Nano S bastards

Now compare that with the 0.50% (at best case) we have in Greece, from which they then subtract tax!

Except how fucking slow would that rollout be? In the US we still have payment terminals requiring you to swipe instead of inserting the chip, which I'm pretty sure has been mandated by law.
Dunno for the USA. In france the deployment of NFC was blazing fast tho. Few years and like everybody has it. Be happy Globb0 its the best device especially when their are Some won BTC on it I have a ledger blue as well, but prefer the nano s more Love mine too. best Black Friday investment ever.

Now I understand a bit about France, so you must be talking only the major cities, I doubt villages have NFC payments going on. The US is really vast, and lots of the smaller towns don't follow trend, I figure this is the same with France and their small villages. The exception for the small towns are the large corporations.
Depends on your definition of village. I come from the mountains, about 5000 inhabitants, and most stores/bars have NFC already.

I also had 4.5% interest but widthdrew all of it to buy bitcoins in the Summer of 2017. Who said i am all in with FIAT? I am not. I always diversify my money in various investments. In 2015 I was skeptical. I didn't buy serious amounts till early 2017. Also in 2015 it was my 2nd year as an employed person so that made me even more skeptical because It was the time I just paid all my loans and my business started to make money. Imagine I was in that situation and Btc was going from $1k to $100. In 2015, Like most people, I thought: "That's uh SCAM!!" I invested more than $15k in btc during the past 2 years now. Hopefully I will see great returns in the next 3 years. If not and it goes to zero, at least I can say: "I tried."

Trying to sell my Side by Side for BTC. I need to find a better place to list it. Only have it on here in the goods section so far. I don't want fiat just good old Bitcoins or a nice pile of LTC. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5100981.0
