Taking into account that a recent XMR auction ended up going for a greater value than it was that day, I don't think it's worth it.

Quote
Register NOW for the auction to avoid disappointment! Be prepared and complete your registration today. Follow these simple steps in order to bid;

Click here to download our attached registration form
Complete the form, and return it to ~snip~ along with a copy of your photographic ID and proof of address
Once we have your documents, one of our staff will contact you via the information given to take your £500 deposit
Await an email with your login details (registration cannot be complete without all of the above).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read the terms & conditions before bidding.
All Lots are subject to a 4.5% buyer’s premium (VAT will be charged on the buyer’s premium in addition).
Full payment is required within 24 hours of the auction.
Details for the wallet for the assets to be transferred to is to be sent no later than 48 hours following the auction.
No bids can be withdrawn once placed for any reason.

Do they accept XMR for bidding? Cheesy

Despite the 14-month long bear market, BTC transaction rate reaching 2017 all-time high.

Transaction fees also have remained relatively stable.

I really can't understand what is causing that much tx's. I mean, the peak of 2017 was probably because of people claiming forks and the FOMO (buying/selling)  during the last months. What is happening now? Is it increasing adoption in the middle of a bear market?

On second thought... fees were as much expensive during the 2017 peak that many people (including me) were very shy about sending any tx unless strictly needed. Now you can do it without a second thought.

Not sure about you guys, but I do not feel sorry at all for the people who get "financially ruined" for shorting bitcoin (at any price):

I just got liquidated on my entire Bitcoin stack (12 BTC). I shorted at 3430 because all the TA indicators showed further downside.

I am financially ruined.

I don't know about you but I am quite active at the moment sending small txs as I buy bits here and there.

I'm constantly monitoring the price of BTC, but we struggle to stay at $4,000 level.

Any chance for the 2nd pump?

Yes.   I will specifically assert that currently there is a chance that the BTC price will pump above $4k in the coming days.   Wink

What price will we land next?

As I type, the BTC price is bouncing between $3,910 and $3,920.

If the price is going to $4k, then it must pass through $3,950 first.

If the price is going to $3,850, then it must pass through $3,870 first.

I predict that the price is going to pass through either $3,870 or $3,950 in the coming days, and I predict that the BTC price is never going to "land" in any one place for very long.   Wink

Since bitserve answered more quickly, I will say:  "Ditto" to you, bitserve.

I already edited because I realized that in my first edition, I had failed to answer the second question.  Now the above post has been fixed.  Everything answered with precision.  You are welcome.
