r0ach fuck off for a second here.

It's a simple cost/benefit analysis.  Women have always been prostitutes evolved solely to try and extract resources from men but back in the caveman days it wasn't that big of a deal.  The man was going to leave the house to try and kill a deer or something and if you succeeded, you would have spare food leftover and you give it to the woman.  There was most of the time no real excessive burden on the man to try and satisfy this abominable creature called woman.

Now the woman doesn't just want a piece of deer meat, but diamond rings, cars, a house that costs your entire life to pay for, weddings the price of a house, etc.  Each passing day the cost and burden of a woman on a man increases drastically while the benefits simultaneously decrease.  The prostitutes are insanely overvaluing themselves in other words.  As a man, you're entering into a contract of indentured servitude by going anywhere near one of these creatures in the modern day.  The price in terms of complete loss of freedom and all financial liberty as well is not worth it.

I think the seastead thing is cool and all, but it's basically like building trailer parks in the water.  You can't just build them wherever the hell you want and be free of govt or anything.  You're always going to be under the thumb of some sort of govt wherever you put them.  So it's sort of a question of how many sea-trailer parks the govt is going to allow you to build before it becomes an enormous problem.

You know Elwar is going to get tired of taking an hour long boat ride simply to take out the trash and start dumping it all to the bottom of the ocean.  He'll probably be taking shits right off the side of the thing too.  Then he'll build like 100 more sea-trailer parks around him all doing the same thing and it will be Kowloon City within a week with govts flipping out.

not claiming guru status, but it's a lagging correlation. hashrate follows price, largely for the reasons you observe and postulate. note that mining is not the only factor in declining price. mining is an ordinary business, but what the newbies don't do is to plan for the inevitable downturn. note that miners are also affected by increasingly efficient asics coming to market. note that one huge factor in mining difficulty was the failures of bitmain, investing in BCH, and their wafers not working out twice.

(regional branch = local forum, complexity = difficulty, hamsters = retail traders/newbies (who bought at the top))

nice post, мoлoдэц

Thanks!
But I still think that the halving will be an indicator, the deficit will not go anywhere. Lets hodl

I think it’s cool what he’s done but it wouldn’t be for me. What are the chances of a Tsunami ever happening where he’s situated? If that happens it’s lights out for Elwar.

Anybody in Ireland wants to buy cheap BTC ?

https://www.coindesk.com/430k-in-confiscated-crypto-to-be-sold-off-by-irish-auction-house

Quote
Cryptocurrencies seized by Belgian law enforcement from online drug dealers are to be put under the hammer by an Ireland-based auction house.

Wilsons Auctions announced Monday that it has signed an agreement with the federal government of Belgium to hold an auction of the crypto funds with no reserve, including 104.99 each of bitcoin (BTC), bitcoin cash (BCH) and bitcoin gold (BTG).

The total market value of the cryptocurrencies is around $431,660 at the time of writing.

“The bitcoins were seized by the Belgium police as a result of a drug trafficking case in which the criminals used the DarkNet to sell drugs,” Wilsons Auctions said.

The international auction will start at 12 noon (GMT) on March 1, with the cryptocurrencies divided into lots, the release states. The bitcoin will be sold in 0.5–4 BTC lots, while the BCH and BTG will be offered in larger lots.

false, this has been addressed at least twice before in this thread, he is in deep enough water that a tsunami would just be a large, long swell, he might not even notice

Well it wouldn't be much of a venture if a tsunami (or just water rising) has not been taken into account.
Can't be bothered to find it, but Elwar has explained that the whole stead will rise without even noticing (exaggerating a bit imo).
BTW, he hasn't logged in for 15 days. Undecided

Check what Elon Musk thinks about Bitcoin being Brilliant and better than Paper Money:

https://www.coindesk.com/elon-musk-calls-bitcoin-brilliant-better-than-paper-money-for-value-transfer

Quote
To that end, Musk said he believes bitcoin’s structure “is quite brilliant,” adding:

“It [cryptocurrency] bypasses currency controls. … Paper money is going away. And crypto is a far better way to transfer values than a piece of paper, that’s for sure.”

This statements can hype the Price Huh
