Going to break 4k, are we?

Didn't we already do that a month or so ago?
I fail to see the wow factor in that, just normal volatility.

Hey we did see it a while ago but since we have been stuck in the extended bear phase for a very long time now, the 4K mark is a feel good factor for all investors. I feel if prices continue their upward trend then we can see it breaking 4K levels today, and finally prices are steadily moving towards 5k in the short term. In my personal opinion we should see max up to 8k in bitcoins prices, don’t really understand why people are waiting to see 20k price levels so soon.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Satoshi Nakamoto: The Mysterious Founder of Bitcoin

DigiCash - 1989
BitGold
Satoshi Nakamoto: Bitcoin - October 2008
Hal Finney - January 3rd 2009

The Silk Road: Dread Pirate Roberts - 2011
Ross Ulbricht - 2013

Keep watching and enjoy. Good video

This video is total shit! Guy is still claiming BTC costs $40+ to make a single transaction plus 2-3 days.  At the end of the video it becomes clear that its a ripple shill, motioning that Satoshi left bitcoin to work on ripple and his real identity is David Schwartz.  Watch for laughs only and keep your eye on this Pamoldar character  Angry

I've been strongly considering buying one of the new easy-mode LN devices like the Casa Hodl.

It looks like the actual name is Casa Node. Everyone calls it the hodl for some reason.

Yeh lets abandon the Bitcoin Network and jump on xrp version 2 lightning network (LN) instead. Bitcoin Network no longer needed, lets just stop legacy support now and and its done with it.  Mining, a proven way of work done, and given value to Bitcoin, lets deviate from it.

A bitcoiner is against turning the true nature of bitcoin, into whats becoming core-centric, commercialised network crap.
Bitcoin was born to get away from that crap of centralist capitalism, and yet stupid people want it to bcome the same crap as what was available before 2009.

Deburden the bitcoin network. by promoting other networks, altcoins, central services is not a Bitcoiner.

LN is just the same as 0 confirmation on Bitcoin network, instant and same level of trust,

I'd like to run a LN node. Initial funding will come from some small profits I made in the current wave of volatility. I have the latest bitcoin client (Core  0.17.1) running on Linux. Which LN client do you think is the best choice at the moment?

Depends on what do you want to achieve. If you just need to make some payments via lightning every now and then, just go for a lightning wallet. If you want to run a node, provide liquidity to the network, process payments on a large scale - I would agree with BobLawblaw and suggest LND. Based on experience we had with it for more than a half year it proved to be more robust and stable implementation in comparison to c-lightning and ACINQ/eclair.
