Its all about the V8 sound brother Smiley (for me though)
-

that lumpy, looping grumble of a built V8 at idle is the best. then, 1/4 second later, the front wheels are off the ground and its gone.

I do my bit for the Earth.
I've got one mildly steal-worthy car parked up pretty permanently on the edge of my land near the road. At first it was to make the place look occupied and to concentrate potential burglars' minds way over there. I put some cameras and gizmos in it more recently.
Anyhow it immediately started growing lichens, then mosses, now that spring is coming, I see a few tiny plant seedlings; such joy. Sometimes a slug comes and hoovers up a load of lichen. If I knew what a liverwort was, I'm sure the car would be growing that too. When the sun comes round, a cat warms herself on the bonnet.

I have been driving both cars and trucks for a living for almost twenty years, so I know how important it is to be in control of the vehicle, there are many tricky situations that I would never trust the car/truck with. Having said that, I don't mind letting the car drive when my control is not needed, but I do want that to bee my choice.

That's cuz you're thinking in today's technology. 20 years ago, Quake II was state of the art. 20 years from now, I don't want it to be your choice, because you'll be the one causing accidents. You cannot compete with computer vision technology.

Only until they change the rules, which is a given. Didn't have your phone reported as stolen at the time? Then it wasn't stolen and you were the driver, pay up.

That’s how I shattered my front diff which cooked the gearbox as well.

(Lifting the front wheels off the ground on launch in an AWD car with a massive shock load through the drivetrain when it unloaded....). Didn’t go anywhere after that.

I can appreciate a good V8 rear wheel drive after that.  You won’t catch me point to point tho.

Oh hey. Just woke up. Nice to be back home in Texas. Logged into my workstation to check out my LND node, and I think I'm starting to get the hang of this routing thing a bit better.

This is the highest I've seen my numbers yet.

"day_fee_sum": "87",
"week_fee_sum": "398",
"month_fee_sum": "590"

I really need to look into any work has been done for web-config based stuff for local node/channel management.

Manually adjusting things by hand in one terminal window, while scrolling through a list of channel states in another window is just so... uncivilized.

That Alex Bosworth guy on Twitter is always giving out good advice, but I wish he would just shut up and develop tools that allow us to manage things in a way that he pontificates on about.

I mean, I'm no stranger to raw things, if you catch my meaning, but these early days of Lightning channel management are still very very rough.

On a related note, Rick is actually going through a bit of an existential crisis, because he's a year away from retiring himself, and has absolutely no idea what he wants to do with the rest of his life.

I suggested possibly getting involved in Bitcorn or Lightning development, and he amusingly rustled his eyebrows in that "Huh. Why didn't I think about that ?" way - Either that, or he's going to consider a run for local politics as a Libertarian, maybe run for President some day, all I'll some-how end up being the first Male "First-Lady" in the Whitehouse  Huh

I mean, stranger things have happened.

EDIT: Also, I'm not sure why I'm still mining this GRIN shit.

yeah ive had my share of what would of been epic hole shots where as soon as i dump the clutch the driveshaft drops to the ground or the diff sprays parts all over the road.

replace with stronger parts.. next weakest thing in the drivetrain breaks. rinse and repeat till you run out of money or total the car out when it does hook up on launch.

man those times were fun.
