Oh?  So, with the new hat, Homer was bringing you back to some variation of your original avatar?

Yes, my original avatar looked something like this.

The poor light and the cheap phone camera also make it look uglier than it should.
Still.. it exists. And it's a rather new addition.

I love how Mister Badger and Spartans are symbols of bitcoiners. But I feel like there is room for something... more. Anything good comes in threes. Do we have any candidates for the third slot?

otherwise mildly interesting reminder thread from Pouliot, who seems to have been born yesterday

Oh man, this is just sad. I saw the Pouliot tweet but Wright blocked me on Twitter so I didn't see his response.

Wright knows what he needs to do to prove he's Satoshi (and it doesn't involve backdating blogs or commenting on U.S. CFTC issues), but he'll never do it. He simultaneously wants to be Satoshi and doesn't want to be him at the same time I guess.

I'm not talking about manners here. I don't fucking care what kind of fucking language use or how you fucking act while presenting an argument. It's about people putting truth behind emotional horseshit and tribalism. But I suppose I might be in the minority when saying that truth should be the one thing humans should never compromise on, unless it is to literally save their lives.

There is a deep irony here.

Point it out and provide evidence or fuck off. Otherwise I assert that the only irony is you and Toxic being utterly incapable of doing anything other than flinging around ad hominems while trying to claim some moral high ground, which only you care about.

I don’t buy all this relativistic business.
2 + 2 = 4 and nothing anyone can say can convince that that is just my subjective experience.
You learn in your first semester of Mathematics that once you define numbers rigorously 2 + 2 quickly becomes 0. They are called finite fields.

Edit: They are also a big part of the reason why you can type your comment in the first place. So whether I can convince you or not does not change the nature of reality.

First week of degree maths was prove or disprove why 1+1=2
It baffled me how non-trivial that was.

Take a deep breath.

10 years ago, some guy released some code & a 9 page whitepaper.

This code bootstrapped itself into the most powerful computer network in history.

Casually redefined money.

Then slurped up 100s of billions of dollars.

Oh and it’s 100% self funded.
