And please always take into account that thinking of how much Bitcoin we could have bought or hodl in the past is no different than thinking how we could have bought that winning lottery ticket... afterwards.

That being said... why the fuck didn't I buy more?!?!  Huh AARRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! Cry

There was a time when Trust on this here board was a rating established by counterparties who had engaged in deals with the subject, indicating whether or not said deals were satisfactorily concluded. In this manner, Trust was a relative indicator if engaging in a future deal with said subject would likely result in being defrauded.

These days, it seems the Trust system ain't nothing but a popularity contest. Absolutely useless for its stated purpose. The sooner theymos decides to abolish it, the better.

In the meantime, knock yourself out chasing that elusive meaningless glitter.

exactly

flensgold is the only person I ever put the trust flag on, he sourced and shipped me a number of euro spec thermostats to fit HVD.be waffle irons (long story).  This was way back in the day, I think it was 6 BTC for the parts.  I could not find an EU supplier that would accept a US credit card and my bank laughed at me when I wanted a wire transfer in the low 3 digits.

Point is, the guy could have given me the finger and walked with 6 BTC, instead he repackaged and shipped my parts.

Trust, that is what it is for.

if i had just held everything.. but meh. if no one had actually used btc it would be a failed experiment by now. and i didnt replace my early btc because it was all just majik internetz moneyz anyway..

Yes. There's no point in trying to think how things would have been if you did a single thing differently (ie hodling more or buying more) as if that wouldn't have influenced your own behaviour or even the whole echosystem. Maybe Bitcoin would have failed, or maybe you would have lost it some time later, or maybe....

Same as there is no point for laszlo thinking he shouldn't have bought the pizzas because: I am sure he had plenty of additional BTC, what did he do with them? Why didn't he mine or buy more after the trade? The price didn't suddently skyrocket right after the purchase.

Let the past be past. Think of the future... it's bright.

Yep, earlier in 2010-2013 period it probably was like being a super early VC round or angel investing.
2014-15 was more like a follow up VC round.
Now were are, hopefully, at btc IPO where public en large will start participating.
Re pizzas-great idea first time around, but later on the light bulb should have shined on (not sure if it ever did for that particular historical figure).
It did for Trace Mayer & other OGs, no doubt.

actually for us sorta early hobbyist miners btc were continually trickling in, so we replaced some as we went anyway.

i dont recall the price point (EDIT: more the ROI point, not btc price point) where i actually considered btc as possibly a real investment as opposed to pure experiment, but once it hit that i started to pay more attention. early on though the chance of it all crashing down to zero was much higher than today, so i didnt bother replacing any aside from my mining them. but now? nope, while it still may fail in some way hodl or use and replace is the name of the game until set goals are achieved. even then i will always try to have a reserve to call on.

So, you are saying sideways from now to halvening?

Badger is a bad tempered drunk driver, prone to fits of road rage.

I don’t tend to worry about what he does in the short term as long as he gets home at the end of the night.  The halveninng is just a signpost by the side of the road to let us know badger is heading in the right direction.

A new small long of mine was swept by a sudden dip. I'm keeping tight stops in this phase. Flat ATM, but waiting to renew my long if it really dips.

Bitcoin is up over 800% in the last 10 quarters.

It would take more than 8 years to deliver the same results if you were compounding money at 30% year-over-year.

Detractors hate math, but Bitcoin continues to be the best investment of the last decade

Remember how relentless the Bear market was at screwing over the Bulls?

You’ve witnessed just the beginning of the Bulls revenge. This is gonna take a while.

It does happen - and it happened to two of my acquaintances - but it's unusual to be sick when smoking weed. It's more likely to happen to nonsmokers - meaning people who don't actually smoke anything, including legal poison. Weed is actually good at preventing being sick.

Psychedelics are a different ball game, but acid isn't the most vomit-inducing of the lot.

I have found that the ramp up on Psilocybin can be a bit, um, turbulent, in both a psychological and gastrointestinal sense, but if you just hodl through it everything is good.

Quote from: Paul Simon: 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)
Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy

Hello lamppost, what'cha knowing
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't you got no rhymes for me?
Doo-ait-n-doo-doo, feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy

I got no deeds to do, no promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morningtime drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you, all is groovy

Oh thank god, it's been bugging me for ages: whose humour does gentlemand's remind me of, except perverted?

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we've held on to most of yesterday's gains and can probably declare the weeks-old battle for $8k to be officially won... currently $8865USD/$11920CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Now the battle for $9k begins. Let's see how long it lasts.

Go Bitcoin go.

9600 by next week boys.

10k will be a strong psychological border, if we break up i would say we are officialy in bull market again lol

Too late.

We already are in a bullmarket.

Been a few weeks now that such transition took place.

A few weeks? We've been in a bull market all year.

Indeed. 163 days to be exact and all is well. Cheesy

Never smoke weed when you are already drunk. Every time I did, I ended up puking. When you smoke after heavy drinking, it's like when you close your eyes and everything goes spinning. With weed it feels even more intense.

Try the herb when you are sober, you should be fine Grin
