We are in a downtrend. The question is, how long will it last?

We are in a downtrend. The question is, how long will it last?

I can say with a fair degree of certainty that however long it lasts, we won't go below $0.

*edit*

Unless MtGox circumvents logic and mathematics, which wouldn't surprise me.

On second thought, I've changed my mind about my initial statement.

derp we already have multiple types of crypto. Doesn't change the fact bitcoin has the most money flowing in to development

You just can't comprehend, that the money isn't flowing into bitcoin, but into the development of handling cryptos in general?

Are you advising people to diversify? if so good idea

yeah going into Cryptos itself indeed.... and Bitcoin is the mother egg right now and will remain so until there is a good reason for it not to be
taking into account everything.  You cannto say defo Bitcoin will not kick ass and dominate the market for a good length of time it is perfectly possible. Again I think there will end up being more than one.

All quite simples, the market will decide and that will be based on some rational factors and some not so rational ones, right now we as in you and I simply do not know! that much I comprehend - also the 3- 4 year head start  really does matter, for several good reasons, it is not the be all and end all but it does have several implications on several levels.

Also in all honesty none of us in Europe know which one of our banks will still be running in 5 years time-  that is a cold hard fact, a few of them will not be I am quite sure - there are no "certain bets"

Gox just admitted insolvency...

You are not a Fudster normally?

I guess I over reacted to the gox Dev admitting coins were stolen via transaction malleability. Maybe it's not that bad? I didn't have a chance to sell my coins so i hope they are solvent..
This is widely known fact and nothing new - they lost some coins. However they should hold 80-90% in their offline wallet and most probably they have much more from fees then the amount they lost also stored offline. The logic tells me they can't be insolvent and if they state in official message that they are insolvent I'll be almost sure they are lying and MtGox is a scam. I still don't believe this is a scam, but they are either incompetent or creating FUD in order to help some big gamers to get in Bitcoin - maybe both.

But Bitcoin is a protocol and therefore it is more sensible to compare it to the history of other protocols rather than computer games?

To an extent I agree I do not think this is a Higlander scenario

There can be more than one

Bitcoin is different from protocols because it does have a very specific unit price.
Imagine if e-mail would have been created in a way that later adopters have to fill the pockets of early adopters, so they can also send an e-mail. People wouldn't accept this and would create an alternative where everyone has a fair chance with using this protocol.
So, in my idea, bitcoin is not neutral enough to be called an protocol. Gaming suits better to it, especially with the amount of gambling that's happening at the markets.

The price of Bitcoin is reflective of its commodity value this is but the first app that runs on the Bitcoin protocol.

I'll hold that bag at $550, Boys. I threw back all those falling knives so all I have in my hands now is a big pile of fiat I want to get rid of.

good!
post your trading history or screenshots, so we can mock you later.
