Quarter million infected. It keeps getting easier.

Millions are probably infected. They aren't getting sick mostly. This thing is weak.

Being a Doom Fanboy is gonna be a tough gig going forward. You may have to work extra hours scouring the web looking for the finest doom porn available.  Cheesy

"Is China a leading indicator for the rest of the world as COVID-19 runs its course?
*FEDEX SAYS CHINA DEMAND HAS REBOUNDED MORE THAN EXPECTED
*FEDEX SAYS 90-95% OF LARGE CHINESE MANUFACTURERS BACK OPERATING
*FEDEX SAYS 65-70% OF SMALL BUSINESSES IN CHINA OPERATING AGAIN"

Farr's Law of Epidemics

"William Farr demonstrated that epidemics decline at a mathematically predictable rate, using empirical observations of a smallpox epidemic to confirm this. He later formulated several other mathematical equations and laws that apply to epidemics, e.g., that prevalence of a disease can be calculated from the mathematical product of incidence and the average duration."

Oh look, another research paper further showing the virus gets weaker in warmer, more humid weather. And spring just started yesterday.  Grin

https://www.accuweather.com/en/health-wellness/new-study-says-high-temperature-and-high-relative-humidity-significantly-reduce-spread-of-covid-19/703418

https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3551767

"After estimating the serial interval of COVID-19 from 105 pairs of the virus carrier and the infected, we calculate the daily effective reproductive number, R, for each of all 100 Chinese cities with more than 40 cases. Using the daily R values from January 21 to 23, 2020 as proxies of non-intervened transmission intensity, we find, under a linear regression framework for 100 Chinese cities, high temperature and high relative humidity significantly reduce the transmission of COVID-19, respectively, even after controlling for population density and GDP per capita of cities. One degree Celsius increase in temperature and one percent increase in relative humidity lower R by 0.0383 and 0.0224, respectively. This result is consistent with the fact that the high temperature and high humidity significantly reduce the transmission of influenza. It indicates that the arrival of summer and rainy season in the northern hemisphere can effectively reduce the transmission of the COVID-19."
Explain Thailand and other hot places. No, we can safely say this is not so.

Humid and hot places are worlds apart.
Only few places with tropical rainforest, Brazil, Congo, Malysia and  the majorety live in the citys hot/dry and not in the jungle.
Bangladesh, Laos.....moonsoon season about to start. Laos a neighour to China so far not a single person infected. Bangladesh 160 Mil pop 20 people infected. Luxembourg 0.6 mil) has more infected people as Thailand (70mil),
So far no  death in Finland as lots go to saunas, some few in Russia alos some sauna fans.
Homeless people dwell in sewers also less effected. With that many bacteries around even viruse flee.
The average flat is unhealty dry, some have water containers attached to radiators, helps a bit.

Meantime it looks like Bitcoin is clawing its way back to "normal" (8k) which is still below where it should be (12k) but we can deal with that next week.

Certainly holding up better than ye ole stocks.

I don’t see how $12,000 isn’t going to be an absolute guarantee by the end of 2020. The halving will ensure that!

Chuck Norris once mined a bitcoin just by thinking about it.

While humanity races to find a coronavirus vaccine, the coronavirus races to find a Chuck Norris vaccine.

Actually, there's no need for a coronavirus vaccine.  Just wait until Chuck Norris catches it.

Yeah, nobody's going to buy stocks anytime soon.

But eventually they'll get restless holding USD bags.

They'll be itching to buy something.

Much more because many dont have symptoms and then never get tested. Probably is 5 times more infected. And probably close to quarter million is already immune.

In less than two months, Bitcoin will be halved.
What do you think will be the same trend as with other currencies before and after halving?
For example LTC. Before halving, the price will rise and after it will immediately collapse.
How likely is this scenario?

I had laryngitis for 6 weeks, cough & cold. My voice was like a whisper for ages. Other WO members will verify this as we met last month.

I don’t think it was COVID-19 any way.

I'm on my 5th day after returning home, through 3 airports and 2 planes. Whole trip took more than 24 hours. 9 more days till I'm "clear", but only a few till I can begin to relax.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Briefly touched the $7xxx range before correcting a little... currently $6660USD/$9507CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Still a week and a half in Mic's contest. This should be interesting.

Stop using the paper money. Seriously, paper money is the easiest way to spread any kind of germs.

Not my paper money.  Cool

Define 'blink'

Shit, I don't know, 1-2-3 months.
Think of total human resources, whilst at it.

My friend, that's not evidence.

Do you have evidence on the contrary?

Of course not.
I'm only speculating here. And my gut is going wild.

Maybe in one or a few months we will have plenty. Not NOW.

I can only speak for Greece.
I happen to have friends too in various hospitals, whom panicked a little a week or so ago, and now are getting their blood pressure restored.

Same with masks and other PPE's.

If you need any, let me know.
Don't know if posting them will get to you, but we can try, if that makes you feel better.
And just to be clear, I don't have, nor need any mask. I just see them available. Today.
