This little dump is a bit premature.
Still a week to go before the halving.
Maybe whoever it is is hoping to scoop up some cheap coins if any noobs follow his lead.
Don't be fooled gentlemen the long term future is bright.
Keep HODLING.

You sure about that?

Meh, wake me up in a couple years, the constant hand wringing over short time scales is tiring. Anyone who thinks we'll pump ATH right at the halving hasn't done their due diligence. I'm not worried. BTFD.

Elon Musk is selling his two houses (worth about $40 mil in total) and saying, ostensibly, that he would have "no possessions" because:

1. he thinks that we are at a RE top
2. he became a "revolutionary" [after mouthing off something something about "fascists"]
3. he is moving to China
4. he is selling TSLA to some Middle Eastern sheiks and would move there (Dubai?)
5. he is moving to Mars
6. he merged with AI and is about to control us all
7. he is having a midlife crisis
8. he is using RE sales to fund his BTC purchases.

What's it going to be? Please come up with %% of probability if you like.
He did tweet out "TSLA stock is a bit too high" in his opinion and it suddenly dropped. Then right after said he was selling his house(s).
I think being in pandemia for a month he got bored and wanted to screw around with stock holders for a bit.

https://youtu.be/CrHNHhix0Ig
Maybe he'll get back to being CEO of Dogecoin if he was trolling all his twitter followers to tank the companies stock.
Then we can really start to have some fun in the next 6 days. Grin

Simple (and possibly really "noob") question about exchanges:

I’m sorry .... I was one short to hero your ass

Thanks man!

Wow, soon to have 5 coins in my badge!

Hope we reach the same amount of digits very soon!

It's nice to see that the constant hats on the thread go up in rank.

So is this but then instantly losing it to this scam channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpEorT1pJf0  Angry
Cant believe there are 40,000 people watching this blatant scam job using him as a pawn "donating" to this channel in hopes of getting BTC back.
Disgraceful and this is the specific reason why youtube is against cryptocurrency youtubers as a whole and banning their accounts.
Everyone should hit the report button on the above channel to get it taken down as it is running on going for two hours as of now.

I got some shitcoin I miner trying to get them into Bitcoin as quickly as possible. Remember, when the Bitcoin rockets the alts wither.

Is this true, or they will just rise because the "high tide rasies every boat" and stupid nocoiners will flood every shitcoins thring to excape FOMO buying shotcoins because "ayyyy those coinz are so cheap!"

Asking for a friend with some free XLM in his pocket and waiting to get rid of that shit.

No, you're right. Bitcoin's rising tide lifts all shitty ships. Its been this way since time immemorial.

I remember when I got free Stellars just by having a Facebook account. Things have changed since then, but Stellar's uselessness has been a constant. Nevertheless, I can all but assure its price will rise if BTC rises. This may not hold true forever, but its certainly the trend.

Next time BTC seriously escalates its market cap dominance will fall. You'll have people saying this is because of BTC's block size limit, but in reality, its because Bitcoin is only one coin and the market cap of all altcoins outweighs that of BTC. Bitcoin is only one coin. Altcoins are in the thousands.

Yikes. Excerpts from this twitter thread...
https://twitter.com/bessbell/status/1257057870136242176
Quote
My dad is an ICU doctor treating COVID-19 patients. In the past WEEK he has set more “I’ve never seen a heart rate/RBC count/etc. like this” records than in his decades-long career. What this virus does to the body is like “sticking your finger in an electric socket.” Stay home.

He had a patient who needed 8 blood transfusions in a morning even though he wasn’t bleeding. The coronavirus was just eating his red blood cells faster than his bone marrow could make them. It’s fucking mystifying and brutal.

What people treating covid patients know is that pictures of the packed beach means some people in that crowd are going to get pulled choking off a ventilator in about two weeks and either live or die and they could have avoided that by just taking a walk.

I never really understood this image, like bruh the first guy hasnt found the diamonds either , its possible he gives up right before he finds diamonds too? Just me?
What happened was as the bottom guy was walking back the top guy's irresponsible digging caused a collapse and they both died horrible slow deaths in the dark, their bodies broken in pieces with boulders on their chests preventing breathing. Happy Tuesday!

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Vegeta still putting up a pretty good fight... currently $8866USD/$12444CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

The calm before the halving.

Go Bitcoin go.

You guys with your stacked terabyte HDD’s. I’ll stick to the 1.44 MB not so floppy disks, conveniently strung together with a little help of ARJ. Even has a read only switch for eternal storage. Who needs blockchains.

you techies with your advanced devices. pfffft

still rockin my TRS-80 and C64 cassette drives.

my Columbia IBM clone has a cassette interface too but i never used it. those full height 5.25 floppies were the bomb.

EDIT the TRS-80 also had several 8 inch floppies hooked to it at one point.

I had to jump through hoops to get a 5.24" floppy connected to my TRS-80 CoCo... a massive 3rd-party 512 KB external memory upgrade, a FDD controller unit from a different 3rd party, and the drive itself which weighed more than the computer.

It let me install OS-9 (6809) and run Deskmate with a GUI. I used a joystick instead of a mouse though. Grin  Those were the days.
___

As for attempting data recovery from HDDs, I'll stick to my SSDs and most importantly, backups. Never had an SSD fail and I've been using them since the days of PATA. It's hard to recover data from a HDD head crash.

Just wanted to share this little fact with you all and publicy thanks xhomerx for making me have a little more faith in humanity

Be aware, this place is the best community in the whole web, i'm even more convinced now i must go back to be an active part of it
