Prior to the #BitcoinHalving, it appears that a significant number of formerly-offline S9 mining rigs were turned back on, likely as a result of a recent appreciation in the price of bitcoin.

The folks who gleefully exclaim that Bitcoin's hashrate dropped by 40% after the halving will conveniently overlook that it had surged to an all-time high just before, as miners rushed to squeeze out the last of the 12.5 BTC subsidy. Hashrate is back to levels seen 2 months ago.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Changed my summer holiday last night due to COVID19, we were due to stay in a villa in Tenerife. It was free to edit the holiday with the same company so to be safe I said to the girl to rebook for April 2021, I let the girl loose with the booking reference & when I ask where she booked she answers Mexico & it’s an extra £2500.

Fucking women, I hope r0ach doesn’t see this post.

When $10,000?

Pretty much everyone knows about bitcoin,

Pretty much everyone has heard of Bitcoin. That's a rather different thing. Doesn't help that 85% of what they 'know' about Bitcoin is utter bollocks.

Cmon you ve heard about quantum mechanics - right ?

Speaking of indirectly mining Bitcoin with cards and people just selling off GRIN, whatever happened to merged mined coins. There was Sia which was at least still being dumped off regularly last year.

Talking about video cards...someone mistakenly (I think) posted MSI 1080 ti Gaming X (open box) at $45.88 plus shipping on ebay...30 were already sold in one day (today).
Either scam or a mistake, there is no way he will send them out for this price...lol. I didn't bother to buy since it is all going to be refunded at best or lost at the worst.

Probably all bought by the same person too. Reminds me of too-good-to-be-true Groupon deals. The crazy process of refunds kills you when the deals just never work out.

Bloody hell LFC. I'm also waiting on a July trip back home and it's super expensive already when we booked it last year, I'm calling now and the airlines (british airways) promises we can change without cost until March 2021, but it's going to be a mess of logistics for sure.

At this moment I only have one alternative, very repeated in your posts, "I will assign a minimum weekly amount" so as not to miss the train.
It is the first time since I bought Bitcoin that I have been forced to sell.
I feel a little strange, a btc bull without btc Angry, I hope it does not affect me mentally and continue to share the good and bad moments in WO, I do not like the idea of getting away from here.

Thx, you for your comments.

Wow, sorry to hear this, kind of drastic, but, bro, any amount of btc is good as long as your mind is on a right track as a bitcoiner.

We must show due respect to VB. Unlike mindrust he was forced to sell and he remains a BTC bull....  Cool

VB is the hodler to loose a battle - not the war.

Nothing in comparison with mindrust's pussy sale, and shitcoin advocacy.

Good morning WO,s starting the day with strength, without looking back, with a different perspective but with optimism.

yeah, hopefully honey badger is bored enough lately to wander through that resistance level thing in its travels today.

And what happens when U$D is in very bad situation due to printing money? One bitcoin is one bitcoin. But how do we calculate the value if $1 is $10.000 in a few years?
