I don't know if this is fake news but what a coincidence... Ghislaine Maxwell has tested positive for COVID-19 in New Hampshire jail, DOJ reports. An official report from the United States Department of Justice indicates that socialite and alleged Jeffrey Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell has tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in New Hampshire while awaiting extradition to New York. “Once she was in custody and began to relax, officials noticed that she was displaying symptoms related to coronavirus including watery eyes, cough, and mucus. She stood to be tested regardless of symptoms while in custody, but her symptoms and the profile of this particular case caused local officials to speed up the testing practice,” a release from the US Department of Justice stated.
“It looks really bad,” one New Hampshire official told The Brown Valley Observer. “Her symptoms seem advanced at this point and ultimately she will probably end up requiring a ventilator, more likely sooner than later.”

With anything, likely there are extreme, weak and moderate approaches, which likely would include the engagement in leveraging practices in bitcoin, too. So, in that regard, the more extreme the leveraging practice then the more risk that is being added on, and accordingly, moderate versions of leveraging would involve less risk than high versions of leveraging. I recommend against leveraging as a general principle, because both historically and probabilistically bitcoin has allowed such great asymmetrical opportunities for high pay offs, so regular people seem to have very great opportunities to get rich as fuck, without even adding such extra level of risks that come through leveraging. leveraging is complicated too, unless you try to keep it really simple and just do it in small ways, if you do it, at all. So, yeah, if you can figure out smart ways to engage in moderate or reasonable leverage and to improve your upside without causing too much extra downside risk, then I am not going to begrudge anyone for finding those kinds of potential ways to become even MOAR profitable in the way that guys (and gal) approach their bitcoin investment.

Much floafloafloa* to be expected, so bullish: White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was out with some comments in the last hour, saying that the US President Donald Trump stands ready to act to provide more stimulus. Trump plans orders on bringing manufacturing back and may sign an order on drug prices, Meadows added further.
The comments did little to influence the USD, which remained under some heavy selling pressure amid the prevalent risk-on environment.
* Whenever I refer to the brrrr meme at home, I am educated by the missus that these printers actually are going more like *floafloafloa* (and that the *brrrr* probably refers to bill counting machines). For the sake of domestic appeasement and the integrity of my personal sex life I'll therefor use the *floafloafloa* acoustic expression to symbolize excessive money printing.

For the moment there it looks like AMZN, AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, FB and TSLA will soon consume almost all $$ in existence toward their market caps. Not sure how to feel about it, but it looks like a giant sucking sound toward some kind of financial black hole. The process, apparently, has nothing to do with fundamentals, just a manifestation of endless liquidity.
How btc fits in there? Not sure yet, but at some point it might become one of these centers of financial "gravity". In such case, $1tril might happen fast.

Bitcoin does not have an infinite supply, nor a printing press that goes brrrr on command. More of a gentle hum.

Exactly my feelings. And once the money printer goes slower or stops, just one whale decides it is about time to cash out his seizable positions and *puff* there goes the money into the bespoken black hole. Meanwhile unemployment is skyrocketing all over the world. One could even argue these assets and BTC as well have not gained in value, it's the fiat that has lost (inflation). That said, I went to the big yellow M after months of lockdown, just to find out that the always same combo of trashcan food now costs ~30 bucks while before lockdown the exact same amount of non-toxic foodwaste was to be had for ~23. I am sure 2020 will be a hell of a ride and the best is to come yet. But like you I can't really make up my mind what this means for our crypto moneys.

Bitcoin does not have an infinite supply, nor a printing press that goes brrrr on command. More of a gentle hum. The question is-why btc does not act as an 'attractor' yet? Those 6 stocks "consumed" a few trillions in the last 6 mo. The situation might become positively bizarre going forward. Why 3K AMZN? Why not 5K or 10K? When will it stop? A few more tril are probably forthcoming relatively soon. EDIT: today's spurt in btc (and many others) is correlated with this? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-07-06/china-imposes-checks-on-large-transactions-after-bank-runs
