Hm?  Are they lying?  Does Crypto mean bitcoin?  or some combination of coins that includes bitcoin and some various shitcoins that they consider to be part of some kind of a hybrid and smarter than anyone else package of investments?

Jamie is lying as he always does. He wants to buy cheaper for himself and/ore his rich clients. On the other hand his strategy investment department is obviously bullish.

Payments giant Stripe is building a Bitcoin and crypto team.

Quote
In a job listing posted recently on Stripe’s website, the company is adding four new positions with the title “Staff Engineer, Crypto.” Guillaume Poncin, Head of Engineering Crypto at Stripe, announced he is building a team of engineers and designers to integrate “crypto” into their platform.

“We hear a growing need from developers and users in that space for better building blocks to accept payments, move funds, exchange between fiat and crypto,” the job listing states. “By focusing on these problems and needs, we aim to build faster, more trustworthy, and higher quality crypto-enabled experiences.”

----

Stripe originally started accepting bitcoin back in 2014 but was later halted in 2018 due to transaction confirmation times and fees on the main chain. Since then we’ve seen the Lightning Network scale up and make Bitcoin viable as a means of exchange. Bitcoin can now be used as a means of payment without the long confirmation times and high fees — transactions can now be settled instantly for virtually no fees.

If they can make this work, then *any* card processor should be able to make this work as well.

This is the way.

I think this candle is a fakeout and we'll go a bit lower. We'll be back to uppity in a week or so. Sophisticated SOMA analysis.

Happy to be wrong, of course.

I hope so too Cheesy

My SOMA reasoning is - this down movement doesn't smell like stop hunters. It's too slow and gradual and has decreasing volume. Good hunters hit out of the blue, with powerful swift blows. This is something different, like whales accumulating moar cheep corns now that the uppity is hard to postpone. So we need more accumulated volume on the down+retrace up move before we can call it a day.

So, in Lightning Node news, I've somehow landed my node at position #13 on the "BOS Score" list.

I think this a "Haha holy shit what have I done?!" sort of good situation. Not sure.

https://cheeserobot.org/bos/list

Congrats!

When i first started, and had default fees of basically nothing... it seems my channels were just being taken advantage of and nothing coming back on the other side, because it was either too expensive or there just wasn't any traffic...

Fee rates should be more dynamic. If there's no traffic going out, lower the fees. If too much traffic is going out, raise the fees. It shouldn't need manual intervention.

Self balancing should be an option if nothing else, can't be too hard to kick out a decent algo.

But will you read it? Do you read the algorithms?
