Pointing to the smartphone, Kurzweil says, devices like the iPhone are 100,000 times smaller than the computer that he used as an MIT student. "It is also several thousand times more powerful," he says. "It is a million times cheaper. That is a several billion-fold increase in price performance." Technology is being reduced at a rate of "100,000 in 3-D volume per decade," says Kurzweil. "That is another predictable exponential trajectory, so computers of this capability will be blood-cell size in 2030.

Ok, i think we can safely say this was a failed BTC rally. The only thing that can change the situation is a huge bull whale intervention that is going to squeeze all the shorts. Probably not gonna happen.
It appears we have a lot more of consolidation for BTC ahead of us. Like a lot of it. Not big moves for a few weeks or months IMHO, sadly.

Slightly on topic. Very slightly. I'm watching a Muse (the band) live concert on tv and during a song this banker comes on stage and throws away worthless dollar bills to the audience. Or whatever the message is. Anyway, this specific clip is in b/w but the notes he throws away are brightly coloured. I realize this is probably the most simple effect nowadays but someone explain to me how they do that with moving objects without having to add the colour frame by frame.

Phone size is increasing again. 30 Years Of Cell Phones i like phones but not all the people like phonez, phones connect more than two peoplenow through webtronics and such an interesting formular used by bell and jacobs to determine number of people and people within proximity was p=c+ir when p is equal to total people, c is connected people and ir represents people in the room. phones r also larger now in terms of volume this can be described as bigger

Question for those who have been through multiple bubbles: Does it always feel like the next bubble is never going to arrive? Because that is what it feels like right now!

The iPhone in the above example is not more powerful because it is crippled with DRM, a rooted Android phone would however be several thousand times more powerful.

Phone size is increasing again. 30 Years Of Cell Phones Yeah but the bigger screen phones are mainly for people that want bigger phones...I think to a certain extent we will see phones start to turn in to wearables next, but people are still going to want a screen... also "devices like the iPhone are 100,000 times smaller than the computer that he used as an MIT student" cannot be overlooked or understated, it is quite profound in its implications if the trend we have seen in tech continues .... then how about virtual reality direct to your senses.. mindboggling

the difference between those old 80's style cell phones vs. the smartphone is that one is a computer and the other is only used for calling people.
